Thread: Level 6 Armor Module

It will never actually get above 20%. One level 6 armor module will give you 20%, anything more than that will also get you 20%.
i cant agree with that, i've made 4 avd r3 droids and with adv composite (the only composite segments i could find!!) level 6 armour x2 i had 40% resists, on all 4 droids, so i guess there is something in it...

the one level 6 is more resource efficient, 2 level 4's don't require the armor segment. They've each got their own benefits and drawbacks.
If I remember correctly, you actually do use less resources using 2 level 4's, because with the 6 you need to figure in the comp segment.
That being said, I still use 6's. You have to store half as much.
Make sure that when you have your AS make the composite segment, they don't use any layers and use totally crappy stuff.

its something like 143 units for a single level 6 and 184 total for 2 level 4's. Not a huge difference, and the fact that you need all the rare resources for the level 6 may even it out, but if you've got em...
That's more the point I was getting at. You don't need the comp segments or the specialized resources. To me, when I don't need to use my DE specific resources or a sub-component, and can use stuff from my general crafting stash, that is a more efficient way to go. I should have clarified that.
I hand-make armor as needed instead of factory-running them. No extra storage that way, as the only thing I keep stored is the comp segments. I also charge a significant difference between Level 6 armor and Level 4 armor. (2) Level 4 armor mods actually saves the customer 1k over (1) Level 6 mod. I always go that route if they want armor, unless they specifically ask for the maxed armor (two Level 6's... and I do give them a choice and explain the differences).
Being offered the choice makes them happy, and tends to encourage repeat business to my shop (even if it's not for droids).
