Thread: How Many of Us are Left???

Hi I just turned novice a week or so ago and since then I've come to the same realization that most of us have come to, albeit a little bit reluctantly: being a Droid Engineer ain't all that it's cracked up to be. I realize that most of you have been doing this for a long time, in some cases many months now, and I wholly understand why many are leaving this bug-invested half-a-profession behind. Personally I think I'll stick it out for a while, maybe just until the next patch, just to see if anything happens, but in the meantime I thought it may be a good idea to take a POLL to see how many of us are left out there.

-it may be stupid but perhaps the DE's that are left and plan on sticking around can reply with their SERVER and progress. if for nothing else it may show a bit of solidarity, and encourage like-minded DE's to find each other.

well, it's a longshot but here's for hoping they fix this profession soon!!

ps: are their any other artisan professions out there that have been significantly updated? seems to me it's been mostly about combat professions......by far the most popular out there....

I am still here. I just turned novice a week ago and going to stick with it all teh way. If I get master DE and they havent made anything, I would just make a new char and put this one on backburner...maybe.

I also look at it this way, if there are soo few of us...it would be easier for me to sell my goods

I still think the droids are neat looking. Even if they are just that. I still think my mousey droid is kawaii XD

I dont know if many of the artisans ahve been updated much. As far as I know, chefs are pretty much in the same boat as we are. Most of their buffs arent worth, especialy in comparision to the pills they can get from smugglers.

The armorer and weaponsmith seems to be the most complete with tailor in second place. But I have only seen 1 actual weaponsmith. Most people seem to go with their combats and get into their elite and do a quickie run into either weapon or armor smith and make their own goods

CHs seem to be the most popular on Tempest from what I have seen. Brawlers are the least popluar. I am one of the few who actualy use polearms as weapons.

I didn't start as a DE though it was one of my choices. When I first started (about 3 weeks after launch, I thought I wanted to be a bounty hunter, I got all but3 boxes of scout complete and all but1 box completed in marksmen before I desided I didn't want to do this, so I went and started DE. I am having fun. I have created a few of the advanced chasis and named them "Cleaning Droid" and dropped them in my friends houses. I am having fun. I have been sitting in the cantina and grinding out frames while having a little DZ70 droid following one of the droids that move around the city hehe. (Anchorhead). I am in it for the long haul. Now that I am using advanced frames to level (its so much faster than the mice droids) I hope to complete master week or 2.

/stands Hi, my names Drashk and I'm a Droid Engineer. I've been a Master of my Profession on Shadowfire for about 2 weeks now. I can't stop making these wonderous droids, even though I know some things could be approved upon. /chuckle

Sorry, started to write this one and realized that it sounded like I was at an AA meeting or something. I've been a DE since about the first week in August. I would guess, that I'm still wide eyed and bushy tailed, when it comes to the hopes for improvement, that I know are on the way.

Don't knowhow many that haven'tbeen paying attention, but there have been changes in our profession recently and a whole new door just opened up wide. You just have to know where to look for a hint at what is going on.(I must be starting to sound like some crackpot conspiriacy theorist.)

I'm one of the Ahazi DE's, about to make the big attempt to aquire the 330,000 units of steel (and 150,000 units of fibreplast) I need to make master DE. I know that I'm one of about a dozen or so Ahazi DEs about. There are still some left over here, but not that many. I'd put the number at maybe a dozen and a half to two dozen (that actively make droids)

I'm still here, just got Master Production now, making me 4-3-0-4. I'm waiting out to see how they handle the combat droids, i.e. if they make combat droid certifications and DE's can't use the new stuff they put in, I'm outta here. I'll then take up smuggler and weaponsmith, drop all business, let alone all of DE, and make rent money making and slicing weapons, and go into business with my bro who's an armorsmith. However, if I can whip out a droideka (or two if they realize it's logical for DE's to have out more than one droid at a time) I will drop CH and Scout, and take up weaponsmith and become rich beyond my imagination
