Is there a standard to pricing droids. I'm tring to figure out what I should charge customers and I want to be competitive with other DEs.

Thanks for the help.

My suggestion is to determine you're cost for each droid (total resources * current resource value) then add in whatever you want to make as profit. Don't worry about what anyone else charges, given the number of DE's on each server people go to whoever they can find and price is somewhat irrelavent (unless its a random impulse buy).

someone who was leaving recently posted a link to an excellent excel spreadsheet, but I cant find it anymore.... so this post is as useless as a chocolate fireguard. If only the forum search worked properly.

Pretty nice spreadsheet, although I did find your prices a little low for my server.

It'sa good spreadsheet but I mainly use it to set a floor price to make sure I'm not loosing money.

The post patch rise on the bazaar price cap has really been helpful. I now sell about one Adv R5 with lvl2 Medical and Ivl2 Item Storage for 5395 per day.

First things first: you should be making some profit for your time and effort (unless you can justify wasting resources during your training). Don't undercut other Des.

Though it's not the only model for pricing, try my pricing spreadsheet (requires Excel) and see if it works for you. The download URL is in my sig.

Here's what I charge:

Raw droid, before modules:

Probot 18k (includes full armor)

R5 9k

R4 12k

R2 20k

R3 35k

Surgical, LE Repair 15k

Protocol 20k

Then for the modules, add for each:

L6 Medical 5k

L6 Item storage 4k (2k for L4)

L6 Data storage 4k (2k for L4)

L6 Armor 4k (2k for L4)

Crafting station 3k

Droid Repair 3k

I never make mice, I just feel that some other DE can do that if he wants, as a master I make the good stuff.

I posted this elsewhere... but figured that I could also post it here... just this once...

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I use the following formula in an Excel Spreadsheet.. and it works fine for me...

======================================================

Assumptions:

UnitResourceCost = average_cost per ResourceUnit on a given server
CrafterLevel of 1.0 indicates MASTER (Higher numbers indicate lower spots on the SkillTree)

ProductionCost =
ResourceUnits*(UnitResourceCost+(SchematicComplexity/CrafterLevel)
(This value is raised by 33% if a SPECIFIC resource (i.e.: Lidium Extrusive Ore) is required)

Retail market price =

(Adjusted ProductionCost * 1.10) ===> Rounded up

======================================================

By placing all of the potential variables in a sub-sheet, I can quickly recalculate sales amountsfor any given server.

*current Excel Spreadsheet available on request (for anyone interested)*

- Account: Master TKA (cancelled)
- Account: Master Doctor (cancelled)
- Account: Smuggler (cancelled)
- Account: Master Chef (cancelled)
- Account: Master Droid Engineer (activity suspended pending developments)
Total loss of annual revenue (SOE): ~$715US to ~$900US
- Bad press: Priceless
Should Sony and Lucas Arts be worried? (15000 users * 5 accts = ~$13MIL in potential lost gross annual revenue) If I were the CEO for either LA or SOE, I would certainly be worried.
