After re-reading his post many, many times I think I understand what he might have actually meant.

One way to read his response goes like this:

"This change was a side effect of another change requested by Droid Engineers."

My guess is that this is what he actually meant. Naturally, we weren't told of this side effect or we might not have made the request. And more to the point, Thunderheart needs to be a lot more careful with his phrasing.

That's a very optimistic veiw, man. Kudos to you for having it. I think human error is more likely.

Well, you know, I'm trying to do the whole "remain positive" thing like everyone else...

But seriously, I know that he has a tough job. I just think he needs to proof-read his own posts from the point of view of the affected groupsa little more carefully.

This change was due to a Droid Engineer request.

Very dissappointed that TH can't even get it right and really has no clue what we wanted.

Well yeah, they can't be expected to do what was specifically asked right (to have them use DE experimentation)? They only have a short commerical break between cartoons to read and implement Droid Engineer changes, hence the permadeath debacle way back--this is just more of the same. I being an architect am not clear why this issue was considered so important but hey who am I to question why.

No more 99% DSC's for Crafting stations.. GREAT.. *sigh* And the DE community asked for this? heh

Another thing I wanted to say was this. Everytime a profession asks for a change the Devs act like they are your parents and change it but also make it worse as if punishing you for asking for change. This is a sick and twisted road they have been traveling for far too long.

I wish you folks wouldnt be so negative. My comment was niether positve nor negative, I simply answered a question.

Droid Engineers requested for that item to be effected by experimentation and we did that. The side effect is that Architects have a new angle to their crafting.

Many things that change in this game has cross community effects.

Like i just stated above. Players ask for change, and the Devs change it in a way as to make it worse to punish us for asking for change.

Thunderheart,

Does that mean that whether a draft schematic uses OQ or OQ/Conductivity is based on the type of experimentation points used, and not on the schematic itself?

What????

Not that I want to attackanyone but this is kind of a childish response. Why would they want to hurt players? After all we pay for the game right??? If enough of us get upset we would leave. As Thunderheart HAS stated....One change in a game is going to effect EVERYONE not JUST the person/profession the change was made in. Its kinda like the circle of life ya know

TH, we requested to have DCS's to use Droid Experimentation. We did not request that the qualities required for the schematic to change. The's what the Architects are upset about, and what you implied that we asked for.

This is the second time you've laid the blame on the DE community for specific things that we did not ask for.

That's rediculous. The Devs don't go out punishing people and they're not out to get any specific class. You can't please everyone, so when one group gets what they want, inevitably another group hates the change. The classes of SWG are all co-dependant on one another, so when you change an aspect of one, a lot of others are affected.

I also agree with TH about your guys' negativity. Negativity and whining are not productive in the least. If you have a problem, offer some suggestions on how Droid Engineers can get what they asked for while still keeping the other aspects the same.

TH-

Again, I think you've been ill-informed here. The DSC's were granting Artisan xp points, not DE, andwere relying on Artisan Experimentation, not DE Experimentation. This is the change we wanted. We did not ask for the change from OQ to OQ/COND. It's hard for us not to be negative when we are misrepresented.

Then explain how it happens OVER AND OVER AND OVER again. They do it to teach a lesson. There was no reason to change it from OQ to OQ and CON other than to hurt another profession. With it being two stats the percentage will never be has high as if they left it as OQ. No one asked for them to change the stat required for experimentation, just to make experimentation come from the right points.
