When was the last time you had use of a droid?
We do appreciate it. There is a slight difference in our professions though. You are combat, as long as you can still fight, you can still play. We are crafters, if we have nothing to craft, we have nothing to do =)
We are fixed now after many many months. Still a few things that need to be tweaked...looked at...added...but I'm happy.

im a master smuggler master pistoleer and im excited about what the de got. atleast now i might be able to hit someone with something for damage. im really surprised our guild's de has not hid from me yet as i want and want and want lots and lots of crates of bomb bots yes we as pistoleers are broken with lots of our stuff and our guns just out right suck.. people laugh when i show up at krayt hunts. im very fortunate our guild goes on krayt hunts once in awhile so i can have some fun (even though i cant do crap to the big krayt) i dont even have novice medic so a med bot has been pointless to me. i mean no ill intentions towards our guild de but im sure he is at the bottom of the pole for income earned in his profession and he is dedicated (bravo to him) to remaining the guild d.e. for when someone does need that ever lasting droid that does not need replaced.. (atleast i can slice missions and kill things on planets, and slice weapons and armor that decay for steady income)
this is purely speculation but im sure the D.E. feal just about as worthless as i do. can you say slice machine and muon pimp? i am chomping at the bit for the smuggler revamp coming up so i can have a sense of importance in the community i play in (imho my future with swg pends on this upcoming revamp). the d.e. should get more and more. they are down there in the craft professions with the tailor (and eww that nasty decay rumor floating around which might not be a rumor). we all know who the richest people are on each server... architects, ws, as and the revamped chef (with kick backs to be) for the craft community the time has come for d.e., they have paid their dues.

Lucky you are only a pistoleer I am my guilds only Master Droid Engineer, plusI am a Pistoleerworking toward masterand on top of all that I am a wookiee so nowwho is pretty fubar...ME!
Yes, Pistoleersare pretty screwed when it comes to specials but as a Droid Engineer we have what just got our combat modules last publish, thispublish we get increased HAM on said droids with combat modulesand now a few more modules to help other novice professions. Did you read the part about Novice, these modules become almost useless once those professions get above noivce.
Example: the Stim Dispenser module, worthless once you get Stim Bs and higher. The only useful modules seems to be the detination module for BHs and the many Entertainer modules.
I feel your pain. A lot of things have been kick to the dark corners of the Dev Closet due to the Expansion "Jump To Lightspeed" and the combat re-balance. Hopefully Randomb(pistoleer corr.)can get the Devs to give a little light to the pistoleers in one of the mini-publishes.
I know why most other profession will whine at us like this is because we shot ourselfs in the foot when we asked to stay crafters and not a hybrid combat profession with access to battle droids. (ill leave that to another thread tho.)
This is not a "troll" at all, I guenuinely hope you guys are appreciating it (assuming the devs have done a decent job..... please tell me they have!)
Droid Engineer is now "fixed" or what? I remember a lot of DE's left months ago when they felt they got shafted, I presumed these new updates had fixed that?

Hmm, I am a pistoleer with my alt. I use Stopping Shot, Overcharge Shot 2, Melee Defense 1 (pistol thwap), Fan Shot, Double Tap, Bleed Shot 2 and Multi-Target Shot all the time. The Dodge is a real helper too! So, either you dont have those other 7 specials, so only are able to use 2, or you are a moron and don't know how to use those specials. They work perfectly fine for me.
I can admit, I am looking forward to holding 2 Launcher Pistols at once (my alt is also a commando as well as pistoleer). I was a pistoleer with my Primary toon also, while I waited for DE to get lovin. Pistoleer is kewl. Sure, not the most combat-able profession, but it has its own little qualities to it. IMO, Pistoleer has always been better at what it does than DE has been at what DEs do. Yes, after DEs have gotten their lovin, we are better than we were. I would, however, think that as a Pistoleer you would be greatful. SOE has offered all combat professions a way to TANK with your profession for a cheaper cost. Our droids are not $600k like a suit of quality armor. You can get an ADV LE Repair Droid, get some Droid Repair kits and TANK to your heart's content.
