I agree, I like the old skin better. No need for a change, especially to the not-as-cool-looking skin as Sodan put it!

The weekend kind of kills most of the DEV communication. I've already posted about it on the Correspondents forum, since not only is the new skin ugly, it would seem that it also killed the combat animations as well. I'll make sure that QA, our DEV, and TH become aware of situation.

To me, the new skin has the feeling of having been pieced together, The Probot has that 'lived in' feeling. My guess is that they were trying to convey the same feeling that the Landspeeder gives off, in that it has seen better days.

I for one hate the new look of the probots, the big "eye" and the lighter colors on the joints. Really hope they go back to the old skin (the one that was a match for the one in Empire Strikes Back).

Arms look better but frame looks like it was textured by a student. However it might be that it is reflective, like the dome of an R2. And hey lets face it, everyone likes shiny things.

Wow. That really, really looks like ass. It looks like someone was trying to make a model from chunks of scrapped plastic of various shades of grey, left it unpainted, gave it a coat of gloss paint, and called it done.

What WAS wrong with the old one? The color was off, not the model. I wish it'd have made the communication noises from time to time, which were the coolest part of it, but it looked good (aside from the antennas, they needed fixing and, oddly, weren't).

You know, it's kinda funny. Of all the droids in the game, this one is made in a big factory for the Empire. All the other droids in this game are likely to be cobbled together from parts or have this or that changed. But this one came off the assebly line, and now it looks like it was in a junkyard just a few days ago. Which would make sense, except for that I'm sure the Empire wouldn't want civilians keeping the droids that undoubtedly contained HIGH END ENCRYPTION PROTOCOLS....

I think what the devs need is a new dev, say, myself, that can take one **edit** look at just about anything and point out even the obnoxiously miniscule continuity break.

I hate to sound like a broken record, but no sir, I don't like it.

The old probot currently on live looks GOOD, this seems an unnecessary, indeed even gratuitous change.

Taking a well-deserved vacation from his successful Droid Engineering business, Master Rho can be found puttering around the galaxy.

Okay, yeah, so that's just ugly.

Great, going for that "broken down and repaired" look. Cool, fits the time period I guess, but the probot isn't a droid that needs that look.

Our probots already suck in so many ways, why make them ugly to boot?

(just add the beepity beep beep sounds and I'll be happy)

That has got to be the absloute god allful ugly thing I have ever seen, it looks like a 4yr old saw Empire and tried to draw a probot from memory!

Cartoonish is right. My 11 year old daughter could have done better.

Another don't like it voice. The current one was fine except for being a bit dark. The new arms do look better though.
