Thread: 75k for a 53 power Detonation Droid?

75k seems an awful lot to me.
Are the resources this difficult to get too make high powered Bomb droids?
If I do burn cash on these, I would hope that it can knock out a fully buffed Jedi on one hit.
How are the damage?, are they random in a given range or am I guaranteed these will always do xx amount of damage..

Each server has its own price so a price of 75k can be expensive on one server and cheap on another. The tolium is also a pain to get if the good spawn of it was a while ago.
Lucky on chimera I got a fair bit of some 980 oq tolium when it spawned as it now sells for about 15cpu.
So best bet is to check your own server trade forums or go shopping at a few MDE's vendors on your server to get rough pricing on these nice bombs

75k is cheap. How much do you get for the jedi missions? Isn't it like up to 350k?
The resources are difficult to get (very good tolium is needed). Adv R3 droid take a lot of sub-components to make.

75k is just a price, which anyone can set at any time.
If it's too expensive to you, then don't buy it. Look for something that's more in your price range.
There are a lot of things that factor into the price of crafted objects. There's the bare resource costs (which could get pricey, detonation droids use Tolium Reactive gas, which -with nice stats - costs a LOT because most will want to use that for Doc buffs). There's the crafting of each subcomponent, and factory runs with those. Droids are especially complex because there are a LOT of subcomponents. R3's moreso, because they're the most complex droid we can make. They take about 5 or 6 subcomponents to craft. And a lot of time by hand.
So, all in all, 75k for a nice R3 like that isn't too bad. If it's toorich for your blood, pass up the item and let someone else get it. Make the DE an offer and see if they bite. Depending on how long it's been in stock, they might bargain with you.

I'd have to agree with everyone here.
The last spawn of good Tolium on Corbantis was a while ago, and there has been none since, so I can't make any more (i.e. supply shortage)
I sell at 70k for a 54det, which is considered cheap on my server.
Just think about what you'd pay for a grenade that can do 2k+(min) damage to an unarmored opponent. And then there's the aspect that when you see a droid you don't immediatly think "bomb"....unless you name it bomb and chase jedi around with it
And last I heard the bounty payout for a knight was 250k. I haven't had any complaints. If anything all the BH's that used em came back wanting more.
Obviously not a grinding weapon, but very useful in the right hands.

On my server (Ahazi) I sell crated power 57 R3 droids for 225k and singles for 60k. The Tolium can be hard to get and expensive. So 75k seems about right, of course it varies from server to server. I have used them in battle against Jedi and i have incapped more then one fully buffed jedi. The trick is getting a lucky roll and hitting their mind pool.

Depends onyour server. Rating 53 is pretty crappy for an ADV R3.
I sell my ADV R3 Rating 58 for 50 k on Naritus ... which is pretty cheap. I guess 80 K would be ok for a rating 58 on Naritus.

When Tolium...the last good 900+ OQ Tolium...is going for 100cpu on your server, and a single suicide R3 uses 480 units of it just ot make the modules (this doesnt count the rest of the materials in the modules, or the droid chassis itself), 75k for the final droid doesnt sound unreasonable.

With all due respect, you're undercutting yourself at 50k. R3's are time-consuming to make, and the Tolium that most Naritus DE's are using is the expensive 1000 OQ stuff, so why not make a bit more money at it that you deserve? BH's are very willing to pay a bit more for near perfect jedi bomb droids. Heck, I can't keep the crated R3's in stock at 375k/crate..

Not a bad price for an R3 Boom droid.
As far as the damage goes... I set one off in the middle of a group and did 1,200 damage to most of the group, including a jedi...and 2,200 damage to the unarmored wookiee. Then, the five of them kicked by arse 
*It was a while ago, and I'm thinking that the damage done to the jedi was probably a bit more...1,600+ ? I can't remember exactly...

Sorry to hijack this thread but does anybody on Chilastra sell really good detonation droids? Just am finishing by BH grind and am starting to stock up on such items.
