Thread: Anybody elses sales nosedive?

I run a pretty good size Droid business on Scylla, serving what I feel is a fairly large customer base. have grown used to up and down times in sales. However, suddenly, things have dropped to an all time low.

When JTL was released, ground Droid sales dropped, yet JTL droid sales picked up, along with that people coming in to buy JTL items did buy some ground Droids, so it kind of balanced out.

Yet now nothing is selling, JTL isn't moving, no more chips, no ground Droids.

I'm not sure what the problem is, possible thoughts are..

-Solo group nerf, hitting pockets, prices are to much.

-JTL and ground market is saturated, nobody needs droids now.

-Chip nerf dropped the people coming to my vendors drastically.

-People leaving the game, so less market.

-Some other DE snuck in and took my market

I figure if I can identify the problem, thenI can adress it. Anybody else having issues?

This is probably a good portion of it. Maybe not leaving for good, but temporarily checking out other games. EQII and WoW both just dropped, and a lot of players have probably gone to check them out, maybe temporarily, maybe permanently.

Yea....I've seen a good sized drop off.

The only way for us to break this cycle, once and for all, is to get decay working. Until then, our revenue is going to be a roller coaster (at best).

I've been selling fairly briskly. I've been a Master Ship Wright for some time also, but can't seem to find the time to do any SW stuff cause I'm making to many droids....

People are leaving. Half of my guild has disappeared and our Medical Center city (whatever level that is) just dropped back to a Villiage

Yep, I have been playing WoW quite a bit (EQII was horrible in my opinion - I seriously cannot listen to Heather Graham for that long, LOL).

I love a lot of SWG's potential, but right now the game seems too broken (e.g., JTL boring, pointless new loot, buffbots and spam, unplayable lag even in off times, etc).

And for Star Wars fans, "Knights of the Old Republic: The Sith Lords"just came out today (Monday, December 6th) for the X-Box. I know I wont be playing SWG for the next month or so until I have finished KOTOR 5 or 6 times

Well I hope all of you get tired of WOW or whatever and come on back, the CURB will make things better all around.

I guess it is a blessing in disguise really, 90% of my game time was droids, now I have some time to do other stuff. Well at least that is what part of me is saying....

The other part is whispering... "Must enhance Droid business...."

I, really, think it's the solo group nerf, rather than people leaving. Why not people leaving? Because there's still tons of people around. Coronet's still, on the servers I'm on, one big mass of blue and purple dots. Theed, too, is always hugely crowded. Driving between my house and the mining outpost on Dantooine, I still pass 3 or 4 people doing kill missions. Go into space and you still see a bunch of people doing missions. (I, BTW, totally disagree about JTL being boring.)

I, honestly, expected this from the solo group nerf. I'm glad of it, to be honest. It'll be hard going for a while, but us crafters will have to lower our prices to match what people are willing to spend. As, I believe, was the whole intention. Sure, there's still millionaires out there, but they now realize they have to work a lot harder (or pay a lot more, in the case of those buying credits), to get it back if they spend it, so they're hesitating to spend. On Starsider, at least, there still seems to be a number of vendors making good sales... but they're all the vendors that advertise having lowered their prices in response to the nerf.

Lol Tytack, not funny. STC was asking me to come in for a long time because they said that all the DE's were gone and nobody was stocking their vendors. I even came by and checked like 3 times, just to make sure. If there had been anybody really stocking a vendor there,I never would have moved in.

That's why I have refused like 10 invites to Helios and other Tat cities, way to many DE's there trying to earn a living.

I don't think it's the "solo-group nerf." Reason: JTL. I honestly make more money blasting TIE's than I probably ever did running missions.

Now I'm not the most efficient mission runner, unlikesome people. However, I'm not hurting for credits on any server I've played on since JTL launched.

Right after JTL was released, my sales where almost zero for a good two weeks. Things seem t obe moving better, my harvest, combat and med droids are moving again. In an new attempt to supplement my income, i have been forced to pursue other options. Retail Grenade business, here i come!
