Hi there kiddies, this is your good old friend LucasArts here! You know, we’re the nice ones.
We’d like to fill you all in on our latest uber fantastic expansion pack for Star Wars Galaxies, called “SWG: Death of a Virtual world”, otherwise known as ”SWG: We’ve been watching WoW’s numbers too closely”.
We’ve heard all your wonderful feedback on how Star Wars Galaxies is not very Star Warsy, but how our other uber fantastic game Knights of the Old Republic is. So in our latest expansion we’ll be adding your favourite character from KOTOR, HK-47, to SWG. Isn’t that great, huh? SWG is cool and Star Warsy now, right kids?
Well if that’s not enough, since you loved KOTOR sooo much, we’re going to pull its good verses evil themed gameplay and slap it into SWG with as much duct tape as we need to make it fit! Won’t that be k00l!?
But do you know what really made KOTOR so really uberlly fantastically cool? That’s right kids, unashamed glowbat pimpage, dwag! Jedi! And lots of em! Because we know that’s what you all really love.
You’ll get to hang out the big man himself, OBI-WAN! And we don’t mean that Obbi-Won Kenoobii guy on Starsider either, but the main man himself. Sure he’s kinda dead and really should be off helping that little brat of a farm boy, but we’ve never let that stop us before. We’ve glued his non-corporeal blue feet to the ground so he can stand around twiddling his thumbs all day handing out quests to you!
That’s right kids, all this uber fantastic content can be yours for the one time price of $24.99...
But wait! There’s more!
We know how all you kids love playing with FIRE!! That’s right... ooohhhhh FIIIRE!!
Well, we’ve added an entire planet full of it! That’s right, it’s full of it!
MUSTAFAR!!!
It will be chocked full of... well, 50 or so quests, that will keep you occupied for a day or so.
But not only that, you get the one in a million chance to loot the uberest of uber loot ever to appear in an uber game ever! The firey glowbat!! That’s right kids, it’s a glowbat... and it’s on fire, what more could you want!
That’s right kids, go pre-order now so you can consume this uber content as quickly as possible, while we make the evil SOE wallow in mudflation trying to push out the next ill-advised sorry excuse of an expansion to meet the next LucasFilm merchandise drive!
GO GO GO!!!
The LucasArts Team
Rebember, we're the 'nice' ones!
Excuse my extreme sarcasm, but today was the first day that I seriously considered cancelling.

Yeah the announcement was kind underwhelming for me too. But I'm holding out that they will trickle cool stuff out in the next few months like they did with RotW, like the possibility of the capital ships being implemented.
Eh, one can hope. But so far, I see no reason to buy it for a crafting hybrid like myself.

Timeline's total fuk'd up now. Thou I always thought if they were to have put KOTOR stuff in SWG, they should have added the jedi ruins/matale houses from Dantooine.

The inclusion of HK-47 would be the perfect chance/excuse to impliment a Droid Commando profession. Yea I know I'm dreaming and that this is more than likely just gonna be a Jedi focused expansion, but it would still be pretty cool.

if it is i dont think its going to be helpfull to us.
From what i read the planet is going to be for high end combat people, and with a full DE templatethe most you could get is a combat level 54 with one master combat proff.

I'm just glad that it is finally opening up a few peoples eyes to the fact that SOE only programs the code. LA is the power house behind what comes out, when it comes out, and how it comes out.
The only 'positive' that we might be able to look at is that the art for HK-47 will be added to the game, which opens up the very slim possiblity that other Humanoid droid types can be added at some point.
