I sometimes make a droid, mainly I go out and work on getting master pistoleer while my factory does parts so it won't take any time to make a droid. Most of my customers are in the guild, with a few others who are lucky enough to catch me at the right time with all the resources/components in hand. Other than that, I throw some droids on the bazaar and my vendor every now and then. Don't do it to make money anymore, just do it to see people with droids. I figure after I get Master Pistoleer I'll think about dropping the class.

I make droids all the time and if I was to promote the profession more I think I could get about 10 people a day needing droids or replacement droids. However its true that the profession is nothing like it use to be when we had real combat droids. Hopefully when they give us a combat droid system we can actually start doing the work we actually dreamed of doing when we started the profession.

I am a Master First on my server now I only make droids when mine or my friends break. I left the merchant side of the Proffession a while ago when I got fed up with the neglect. Most of the masters I know on my server only make droids for their PA's and friends. I don't sell defective merchandise so I don't sell droids. If I make a droid for someone I do it for free. So if you are on the Gorath server and are not a friend of mine don't ask me to make you a droid cause I don't make droids for credits I make them for friends and guildies if I can't find someone that needs business and will charge a good price for nice product. I got all the way to Master just to make the same droids a novice can make. What a joke our proffessions is.

P.S. I will never drop my Master Skills cause maybe one day I will be able to make something that is more useful then aadvanced mouse with a med6 mod and crafting station till thenI will work on Pistoleer skills.

I make a few droids a week now... doesn't seem to be much interest any more since people can use pets, most of the modules are broken and the droids die permanently. Sooo, I too ground my way up to Master Weaponsmith where I have been making guns for my guild as well as selling them. I'll still make droids with the exception of the low end ones. If the droid doesn't sell for 7k+ I don't bother, it's not worth the time (i.e. mouse droids).

If and when the combat droids come out (not holding my breath there) then I'll likely go back to selling droids. In the meantime, it's weapons and possibly one day the droid boxes will be dropped and replaced with armor, not sure yet. I have a second acct with CH/Commando that I'm having a good time with so the broken profession doesn't bother me that much, I can wait it out for a while.

I can solo a bolle bolle with my basic probot with L4 armor so just like any tool, if the user doesn't use it right, it will suck. I will gladly set up a shop in Kaadara and fill in the void.

I actually stopped making droids after only achieving Intermediate Blueprints. Because they're not very practical to sell at this point, I have been focusing on Powerups, Food and Drinks, and using my Merchant side to sell other people's wares. I'm not going to go further down the path until there is some kind of demand and they are useful. Right now, there is very little appeal in grinding my way through the ranks, not to mention gathering the resources neccisary to do so.

Well the only droids that are usefull are:

Data storage for all those CH pets ( no doubt that will be nerfed soon if It has not already ) I just hope that they let us retain the ability to store pets in them. The droid in droid thing is over the top though.

Med and Crafting bots ( the demand is not high for these sence you can only call them in town or camp were you can do healing and crafting anyway.)

Now that item stoarage droid seem to be working they are almost usefull. Though I am not sure manycare about 10 extra storage enough to buy them.

Combat droid = junk mostCH pets and all faction pets are better then the best Adv.Probot.

So there is almost NO demand for droids.

Istill try to keep my vendors stocked with a little of everything. I find that Surgical droids and BH droids usually sell well and I still sell the occasional Pro. I probably make 3-5 Droids a day of one sort or another.

I am concentrating right now on gathering massive amounts of resources...hopefully there WILL be an elite-elite class for us down the road. I plan on being prepared.

Nope..well rarely..for guildmates..and the occasional reference. I am mainly playing with hunting/fishing/camping now, looking into Ranger. I have even considered dropping some of DE and just mining Steel and Fiberplast while I play at Ranger, than ripping a few thousandBLL framesto get back up if and when DE gets to be fun again. There are just too many other fun professions to just sit on Master DE right now and if you have all the material to burn, its not to hard to get through the trees in a week or less.

If your experience was like mine, the delay to getting Master DE was simply waiting for the harvesters to get the stuff to burn on practice crafting. Right now..who cares about the refinement tree and the Master box right now anyway. Most of my big orders are for LVL4 BP droids or less, minus the ADV protocol. Ill just make a bunch of ADV protocols before I start dumping some of my skills, the same thing I did with Master Artisan and making a ton of factory crates of its stuff.

well once I make Master (1150 Adv frame units away, or 650 R2 units away), I'll conectrate on cranking out parts in a factory so when we do get our combat droids i can make them quickly.. and supply my guild with probots. ANd i'll still be selling droids, i enjoy hanging out in cantinas..

I make a droid for anyone who can find me. I relocated to Talus. Its small and quiet, and the hunting is great.
