I am trying to clean
up the sticky part of the forum so I am compiling these threads as links. The
following is the DE plan from SOE that was posted on October 23rd, along with
our replies to that plan. As always I welcome any feedback on these topics but
please post in the individual topics themselves. Unless your a red name. then
you can post here so it makes Dev Tracker. Thanks!

Sintrosi: I have been offended by the recent patch. Severely. Now my combat droid that gets knocked out auto stores itself. We can avoid this by healing them... HOW?!?!? Medicines don't work, you cant feed a droid batterys when its down, there is no method to restore health or action points to a droid... WE'VE BEEN NERFED AGAIN!

I am just curious, but what else would you do with an incapped droid if not store it?

And, if you are going to store it anyway, why not shortly after it goes down to prevent people from griefing it?

Wait for it to come back up after it's incap-timer reach 0?

Again... wait?
Not everyone are PvP'ers that has nasty opponents that grief-kill pets?

Powerlantern,

Sometimes the best thing your droid can do for you is to distract the enemy while you hightail it out of there. It may not need a bunch of HAM to do this, just the ability to fire off a couple of shots and get aggro for a short while.

That's from a primarily non-combat-oriented character's point of view.

I agree with that 100% - My poor little R5 unit has gotten banged up pretty good keeping things off me while I get away

Then, after I escape from the aggrosI usually just store the droid from the datapad and find a place to call him back out since he is lying there in the midst of the creatures he saved me from. So, for me auto-storing a droid on incap actually saves me a step in this type of situation.

I guess others have a different playstyle than me and will see this as a big impact. That's one of the great things about this game is the fact that everybody can do thing a little differently. My big problem is with batteries not lasting very long since I keep the afore-mentioned R5 unit out all the time. I have to recharge that little guy every 30 minutes!

Thanks for hearing me out

The only reason droids are getting auto stored is because droids are still handled with the creature pet system. Until SOE actually writes different code and seperates Droids from Creature pets, we get thier hand me down nerfs and changes. The Nov 13th patch gives us nothing.

WAY TO GO SOE. Can you please remove the knife out of our backs now!

I agree, but can anyone name a patch that actualy gave us something worth being excited about?

Droids slowly heal damage over about a 10 - 20 minute period. If you're out on a long hunting trip, you can use him for the next battle. If he auto-stores, you've lost a fighting partner.

I think I need to appoligize to our correspondant. Seems I hijacked the forum here but a direct nerf needs to be noticed... Sin could you pull all the posts here from my first one down to this one and put them in a new topic line?

Isn't the trick to have a couple of droids in your datapad and rotate through them. Who cares about the auto store. Repair the droids on your own time. The only point should be how do you heal a droids ham in combat?
