Thread: Droid Poll: Your top five issues (only 5, folks....really, really).

Heya, all...


I need to take the temperature of the DEs a bit to see where the larger / smaller issues are currently.

I'm putting out the call for your top 5 personal 'issues'.


These can be:


  • bugs

  • issues

  • wishlist / feature changes or additions

  • balance problems

  • whatever

The important thing is...keep it brief, to the point and easier for me to document / track.


Example:


1. Feature change/add: Add ability to name Conversational droids (Surgical, LE, etc.)


2. Bug: Armor displays as 40% though the effective/real armor rating is 20% max.


3. Issue: ________________________


...and so on.

Please keep these in order of importance, 1 being the highest and 5 the lowest.

1. Bug: Item storage doesn't work in surgical droids.


2. Bug: The droidsmith tool kit is virtually impossible to craft.


3. Feature change/add: All information about a droid needs to be shown when examining a deed.


4. Feature change/add: Add inherent functionality to various droid models.


5. Feature change/add: Experimentation is only really useful for combat droids and repair kits.

ONLY 5 !?! but ... but ...


1.)Feature change/add: we can only have 5 droids in the datapad i would like to see DE get a bonis to the # of droids in the data padat master , or let us redeed droids


2.)Feature change/add:DE / DH hybred profesion


3.)Feature change/add: Droid deeds need to show ALL the modules installed and any important properties associated with those modules (damage range, to hit, attack speed, crafting rating, etc.)


4.)Bug: Droid names use the standard name filter.Droids should use a modified name filter that allows for numbers in the name / Converse style droids cannot be named.


5.)Feature change/add: DE loot schematic (not nessaraly droid chassis but thay would be nice) things like: 120 medical mod, or +20 item storage units

1) Deed needs to show what a droid is

2) Sodans Plan

3)Chassis Coloration

4) Increase max number of droids in datapad for DE

5) Data Modules storing waypoints

Well lets see..


Combat droids. Sales have stabilized since patch 7. Now im back to selling 1 or 2 a day, and utility droids are up aswell. Sales went to Zero for about two weeks. But theres still afew problems with them, some problems are polemic and others general. let me name one at a time...




#1 Issue - Economics. I was talking about this in our Hybrid discussion posts. If the community is going to expand it should be made to support more competiton. Now were selling inelastic products, only though our sparse numbers is it working out. Add more suppliers of droids and you threaten to throw off the economy because more contenders suddenlylower the market satuization level. Where all the people who want droids have droids, there needs to be some form of effective droid decay in both utility and combat droids, so that we can get return customers keeping the market from becomeing stagnant.


#2. Issue - Whats next? I feel let down by the content in the patches dedicated to us. This is whats most disheartening. What is there plan for us in the long run. I think i can speak for the community saying we feel in the dark. Communitcating through you TK is fine, but i think we need dialoge between the developers. I want to know what there thinking and contribute as such. This middleman thing isnt satisfying. I want it made clear they've been doing a pretty horrible job on us, i hope they don't think they've accomplished anything positve.


#3 Wishlist. - Theres two big wishes going around... New Models and New Utility. But im wishing from a new direction so to speak. How about some non-droid related improvements so to speak to supplement our income. I suggested Nanobots or something symilar to BE chemicals that might play a role as an additive in medicines or armor, what have you. Or other components like Droid Storage compartments that other people can use to make there things better. This is also an appeal to the community and developers to "think outside the droid".



#4, Featurechange-Armor. This is for lack of better terms "pissing me off". lvl 6 and 4 Armor are identical, there needs to be something to differentiate armor by. I for one would like my resists back.


#5Wishlist - Also figure out a way to implement ware and tear on utility droids, perhaps have modules "break", but instead of having to buy a whole new droid, a droid engineer could repair or replace the module for a service charge.
infact figure out a way to include overall droid maintinance, this could solve both these problems. Its a logical part of the star wars universe.Wound repair is one thing, but alot can go wrong with droids, think of your computer.



Theres a TON more, but its mostly been mentioned 100 times already.. more Combat, more utility, more kittins in baskets.We know the drill

Rebalance the rebalance, can we have our droid armour back and/or better combat abilities for our combat droids now that the combat balance has been shelved.

2. Issue

'Fix' DE clothing tool belt/tool kit

3. Bug

Storage modules in Surgical droids, I mean how long has it been ?!?

4. Issue

Power Droids should not require batteries. Ever.

5. Feature Change/add

New frames... please

I really can't believe we are all going through this 'Top 5' bull again, but there you go. It wouldn't be so bad if there was any chance whatever that Dev time would be pointed our way, but there isn't.

1 Add/Feature change More chassis for DE's to make. Both combat and utility oriented.

2 Add/feature change More Utility modules as asked by the DE community. Like harvester maint modules, Resource tracking modules. Maint/power upkeep modules

3 Tweak/Fix Change the text in the module slots to reflect that they can take both combat and utility modules

4 Tweak/Fix Add all vital information to a component, deed, chassi to reflect whats in it and what it does

5 Tweak/Fix Add information to all the components to let you know what they can and cannot do. Like the medical module. It allows you to heal in the wild but not to craft. For that you need a food crafting station. Either add the component/medical crafting to the medical module or change the name of the food crafting module to Food/Chemical crafting tool.

Wow, I actually had to think to get this together. Seems like more have been fixed then I thought.


1. Feature - Possibility for MDE's to have 2 droids out at a time. (both being non-combat)

2. Feature - Give MDE's the ability to redeed droids.

3. Feature - Show complete droid data when examining droid-deed.

4. Issue - Conversation droids cannot be named.

5. Issue - Combat-Cabable Socket slots do not accept general cluster units.

1. Feature change/add: Droid deeds show all stats and modules installed (including damage/speed, not just combat rating, and armor)

2. Feature change/add: Add ability to name Conversational droids

3. Feature change/add: Add ability for droids to have numbers in their name (even if its randomly generated to prevent innapropriate names)

4. Bug: fix droidsmith tool kit to take a craftable part instead of droid repair tool....

5. Bug: Allow surgical droids to hold item storage.

1. Balance: Droid decay to reduce one-time sales
(slow, no return of permadeath)
2. Feature: New droid chassis & real combat droids
(The hybrid proposal)
3. Feature: More droid storage for DE
(8-10 total at MDE?)
4. Bug: Deeds not showing all droid stats
(damage, attack speed, crafting stations installed)
5. Balance: Light armor should be possible, especially if max resist is to be 20%, not 40
(Lev1: 10%, Lev2: 15%, Lev3: 20%, Lev4: AR1 10%, Lev5: AR1 15%, Lev6: AR1 20%)

1. Feature change/add: Sodan's Hybrid DE plan (at least a starter portion allowing MDE to have 1 combat droid and 1 Power Droid Called at a time)


2. Bug: Droidsmith Loot schematic needs to use current Droid Repair kit (Level D would work well)


3. Feature change/add:New Droid Chassis (CL13 Rodger Rodger in place of R3 Combat Making R2 and R3 BACK into utility Droids!!!)

4. Feature change/add: All module info needs to be displayed on Droid Deeds


5. Feature change/add: Power Droid Should NEVER need Batteries (Has a Power Core installed)
