Hs anyone been on TC and used droids since the CH changes? Given that droids and pets were so linked......

I don't think they're affect droids since you can't go out and tame a wild droid.

I'm more concerned withthis whole "ability slot" system's ability tobreak Droids even more. I can see it now, CH's being able to teach Droids "innate pet commands" that they've learned from creatures....or even worse, being able to teach creatures "abilities" they've learned from using droids.
It may be FUD or just simply things to look out for, but I hope they finally madea greaterdisconnect in the pet code between Droids and Creatures.

I guess that we will just have to wait and see - like you say, hopefully with this new system they have divorsed pets and droids finally
Or maybe we will be able to tame the wild droidika's on Lok?!

My biggest worry is that right now some of our droid commands (recharge for the power droid and repair other droid for the repair module) are currently set as "tricks". With this new change, those functions very well may break. Will hopefully be on tonight to test it.

Excellent questions; I wonder if we will get a separate test server to do some blue frog testing for this publish. I share the Jenden's fears that something in droid-land will break since droid code is tied into pet code now.

Update -
Power Droids have a 'Recharge Other Droid' Command present in on the command list. It is not programmed by default.

Now wouldn't that be funny, going up to an SBD:
"Don't bite me."
"Good...er...boy."

Well, from that I have seen so far....
Droids should not be able to learn the commands. They don't have the same XP set up that pets do now. I'm working on finding out about each of the module radials and such, but it is slow going, with having everything spread out between two cities right now.
I do know that the RangedAttack Toggle command is coming up for combat droids as a default and that the only standard programmed command on a droid is currently the Follow Me command. Besides the Follow me command, all other standard commands must now be programmed.
More information as I find it
