We are not responsible for actions taken by the Devs. I'm sorry, but I'm no more able to predict what the devs are going to do than anyone else.
I'll happily refund a customer's money for a purchase made in good faith as soon assomeone refunds me all of the resources I used making droids in good faith prior to patch7 and then again prior to patch 8. Those Droids are now basicallyimpossible to sell. Why should I be responsible for the Devs' actions on *both* ends?

I bought a Droid that had the Maint module, I know it is Sony's issue.
The DE who sold it to me was going to give me a free droid, I refused, I understand business is business, But i can still use the Droid it has Food/Chem and the combat modules. It is not a total loss, I understand the those droids that only had the maint module, are now hunks of junk.
But anyway we came to an agreement and he tipped me some credits back, which I agreed to.
If the maint module is fixed, I will go to the same DE as he has handled this situation with class.
ty again alliera, guys u have to put urself into the shoes of the customer, it's frustrating that these stupid things don't work, but how would u feel if u had bought it? To be a respected merchant is to provide customer satisfaction no matter what. If that means giving a discount on a new droid, exchange, free droid, partial refund, so be it.
My goal is to make that customer come back to me again, and to genuinely be satisfied. It makes me sick when u c those dishonest de's claiming 40% resists on droids when they know better, i know, i've asked them about it. I know that there are ppl that will go to him over me, cuz he's using a display exploit to claim better products than mine.
I can't inform every person on my server what the skinny is on every single bug, but when problems come about it is my duty as a merchant to make that person happy.
Just a lesson in customer service: after giving a new droid to a customer in addition to her bugged droid, as a reward for helping me test the module, so i know not to waste my time until they are fixed, i gave her a 10k refund for the non working module. In return, she traveled back to her house, came back and gave me a present, a total of +7 droid experimentation tapes, combined with the t kit i traded a schem for earlier, they will be readily enjoyed. She didn't have to do it, but neither did i. Nothing in the game states u have to be honest, respectable, and amiable, but when u do.....good things will come.
Think about that the next time an customer asks for a compensation on a non working module. It may help u more than it will help them...but in reality, do it because its the right thing to do.

This is the first I've heard of this problem. However, it does bring up an interesting lesson: don't shove every module into an R3 just cuz it can hold it. Use the other chasis and build specialty droids. I started by using the rarely seen WED for the base chasis of my structure maintenance droid and threw in a level 6 storage as well. Makes more sense too cuz 1) the droid is cheap to make and 2) the droid is unavailable during its maintenance run. Another reason is that I'm on an RP server and I think *most* of the people appreciate the fact the droids can play an important role in RP'ing. For this reason, I'm using protocol droids for my barkers, probots for my creature harvesters and trappers, MSE's for my bombers, and DZ's for my stim dispensers. I reserve astromechs for crafting station droids, but I am shoving all the effects mods into R3's.
It's my particular chasis use philosophy, but I think it makes some sense.

Has anyone pointed out the maintenance modules problem to the devs? Or to anyone? I have some angry and frustrated customers. And I'm and angry and frustrated DE. I'm gonna spam CS until this is fixed. I recomend everyone else do the same or at elast tell someone at SOE about it.
I know I put out the word to the other DE's on tarquinas to /bug it, I recommend everyone else do the same.
