Yeah, the devs need to seriously overhaul the way droids work in this game now.
I want my R2 to be able to do at least half of what R2 did.

*Spoiler Below*
Not only did R2 turn into a flaming shock trooper, but he also seemed to have a lot more spring in his step.
R2'sbehaviour in EP3 has completed the circle. All those that have complained that Astromechs should not be combat droids no longer have a leg to stand on.
You won't see me say this very often, but for once I hope that Lucas Artsdecides to push SOE into putting more of the droids that were seen in EP3 into the game. I spotted7 different combat droids,5 different medical droids and at least12 different utility droids.

well i loved the way they gave the trade federation droids some personality (even can call it a human touch) also it would bring a droid more to like being customized...a loadlifter could be more than the useless one we have now...also the usability of personality chips would be highly appreciated i think

Can anyone explain to me why R2 seems to be nerfed between Episodes III and Episode IV? As pointed out, he was highly functional (especially with the flying and his proto-arm), but in the original trilogy, he didn't seem any different than a normal astromech. Did the Jawas do anything to him off screen in ANH, or is there a great unseen droid nerf that occurs to explain why the droids you can craft today are so basic?

Well, 20 years of use maybe?
And Drashk, i still dont think astromechs are combat droids... the ones we can build dont have a oil launcher and jetpacks... and in the movie the SBD who R2 shocks while he gets captured doesnt really take any damage either.

I want to build a droid that can wield a lightsaber like Grevious... no wait, that can wield 4 or 5 lightsabers like Grevious, lol.

So when do we get to make the buzz droid (I think they were called) warhead for shipwright missiles?
