Hey all. Things are a little slow sowhy dont you all post two or three questions that you would like to see answered (be realistic) by SOE concerning Droids and I will post the more favorites to get answered.

This thread closes Sunday November 9th, sometime in the evening PST.

When can we see all these proposed changes going to TC or live servers. Any sort of timetable would put some perspective on the very vague, "we're looking at things" attitude.

I have only one primary question:

When will we see a more detailed response in regards to the future changes (augmentations) of the DE Profession? I just want to see that they have a serious mind to do something to help us out. It doesn't have to be a concrete plan, but I want some detail and then be able to discuss its impact, whether positive or negative. Only then, will I feel like they are doing something for us.

I too would like a timeline, but I'll settle fora semi-conscise list of changes they see themselves making to the DE profession by 31-Dec-2003 or 31-Jan-2004. The next couple of months are going to see a lot of play time (due to vacations and holidays) and I would like to know if there will be a little something from DEVSanta in my DE stocking, hung from my Small Corellian House Style 2, Floorplan 2 chimney with care.

Another good topic I would love to hear about is additional details on vehicles. Like which profession(s) will be involved in their creation, inter-profession dependencies, etc. Will DE have a role here?

  1. Is it a bug/exploit or intended that you can stack general module socket clusters together (allows for infinite stacking) as well how they fit into the droid. What's the word on this?
  2. Stacking of modules, ie: two level 4 modules = 1 level 6 module. Is this supposed to happen?
  3. Droid armor, it's been bugged for a while now (intentional bug), is this on the "look at list" at least.
  4. What does mechanism rating mean for crafting stations, and is there a correlation with the rating on architect made crafting stations? If so, could you give us a hint on how it correlates?

  5. Droid complexity. What's the official word on this?

Will the Probot be "un-nerfed" so it can actually compete with creatures?

1. Why are Droid Engineers dependant on Master Artisan components directly or indirectly (subcomponents of components) for at least 41 of the items in the Droid Engineering lines, but no other crafting profession even begins to approach this level of dependency?

2. Will there ever be a "balance pass" to either add this extraordinary level of dependency to other crafting professions or greatly reduce it for Droid Engineers?

What direction do they plan on taking us, SPECIFICALLY?

Are we going to become an artisan/pet profession? And if so, to what extent will we compare with the CH scout/pet profession?

I would really like to see cause and effect. Something to show all the hard work you do Sin actually happens in the world. It would be nice if they could let US see more of what they have heard from us and are working on. Maybe a Point Matrix could be placed on the home page Cor Sin asked for A, B, C - We gave A, asked for more info on B and have no time for C.

Mostly my question is why a couple more people like TH so the communication lines are wide open.

After hearing the numerous ideas the DE's have (excluding the obsurde aka the atomic exploding MSE), what is the likely hood and ballpark percentage these ideas will be taken seriously and into effect?.

Can you confirm the rumors that the vehicles will part of the DE profession or an "elite-elite" of the DE proffesion?

Is there any fesible timetable for the addtions of modules and/or new droids.

Many fine questions already asked. I'm looking forward to seeing them answered.

Here are mine:

According to the "vision" of the SWG development team, which better describes the Droid Engineer?:

  1. A "pet" class

  2. A "crafter" class

I know the whole module/chasis idea was designed to make droids customizable, but are there any ideas being thrown around to perhaps make a droid chasis more unique, so that we don't have the "Uber MSE Droid" that we have now? Our ideas have been to either limit module levels in lower chasis or to add unique, inherint functions to each chasis. What do the Devs think about the situation and how to solve it?
