People are undercutting so much that I will stick to droids! I buy all my resources so my stuff costs a little more then someone who mines, but hey those minners that dont craft need a venue to! I am a good customer

Same here. I sold no vehicles yesterday, and politely declined the fellow who wanted to offer me 20K for a landspeeder this morning. I can make a lot more than that using my metals for droids, so why would I make the vehicles, beyond the few I need for myself and friends?

oooo boy i got to gouge some people. I got 300k for two vehicles within 5 mins of logging on

And yet some DE's still complain about prices on droids being too low, just look at what it could be like.

i made a mil, it is competitve i had 2 options at last on all the vehicles i sold, high end or low, and i admit i sold more low but hey i was using crap steel and alum to make all the 20k landspeeders and whatnot....it works out to about 3.5 to 1 smae for 15k landspeeders and 28k swoops. but then i had some 90%+ ones i sold for 45k, 38k for bike and 25k for landspeeder....you had to expect a lot of competition...

Vehicles can make more money straight out, but require much higher mineral amounts than droids. There is more money to be made with droids, but it takes longer to sell them than vehicles.

Would be interesting to do a time/resource/profit comparison study to see which overall is a better busines. Course to get an accurate number one would need to wait a week or two for the initial 'rush' to die down.

There isn't much you can do once this happens. Once the market gets set at that lower price, you don't have much option but to sell a lot lower. Supply and demand. Lots of supply, lots of demand evens out the pricing. By the time I got to log on, the price had already dropped to 40K for a Swoop, but they were selling pretty well at least. If they drop below 40K (or 5 credits per unit) I am out of the vehicle business. It is a waste of resources and time to make them.

It was a nice supplement . It took vehicles coming out for me to become a millionaire. **edit** shame that 4 months as a MDE couldn't do it. I agree that I won't be making vehicles long. Some of the metal I was using can sell for more CPU then the vehicles. They are **edit** expensive to make, especially if you are using quality metals.

I agree with Ellesa. Good thing I only bought Iron for my vehicles. The steel I was minning is just going for my DE grind. Thanks to vehicles I can now afford to buy a Heavy Mineral. Hoorah for me.

I guess that depends on your server. On tarquinasa lot ofof the vehicles are going for less than you could have sold the resources for, so the only thing you really get by selling vehicles is more customers who know your name (though right now with the rush of vehicles they'll probably forget you soon enough).

I'm with the "I'm not selling vehicles" gang, it's a flooded market on bria. Can make easier money selling droids or even simply resources which I'm always extracting...

I made 45 vehicles and sold 10 of them, could have sold more if I went down to 2cpu. I am really glad that the SR 1000 steel that I was thinking about using came to Ill sit on it. I kept 20 vehicles in my inventory and the rest on my vendor.

I think today will be the day I do a couple of factory runs for DE products and a few more vehicles then drop MA as vehicles were a bust for me.

good point jenden! would be sucky if DE was like this.

I have been selling surgical's and R2's for about 20k or so and they sell great. I sell some low level non-adv probots with level 3 armor for like 10k. I figure once I can make uber ones i will charge more, and if i can figure out if the composite segments do improve them i can make those a little higher as well.

As it turns out I have made 1 million from selling vehiciles, with an investment of probably 300 or 400k now in resources. So not to bad, I have made well over 500k. What I am doing is charging more then the low ballers but I am on dantooine, not coronet were the swoops were selling for 10k and 18k. I have been selling my vehicles for 30k or 40k for swoop. Decent mark up, enough to bring me a profit. I have been making 4 in the morning when i wake up and putting them on my vendor, then I have been doing the same at night when I play. Most of them are selling when I am at work or school. I don't want to put 30 of them on there. My idea is to always have some on there, keep a steady flow going. I dont see any other vehicles vendors in my town so I seem to be doing fine. Been selling droids at a normal pace so that actually attributed to my 1mil. I think 40k is probably overcharing for how much CPU I bought the metal for but I want to make money and it's why I sell things. I admire those who can constantly sell and sell lower because they have such a great strong business.. I just don't want to burn out.
