Thread: TOTAL NOOB QUESTION BUT I BLAME THE MDE's

I've been playing the game for 3 months now, and I'm pretty well versed in the game aspects. Except Droids....I blame MDE because none are talkative ingame and offerbad info on they're vendors. I'm looking for three kinds of droids and have no clue what to use or who to contact. or even how much to pay
1- Storage droid. I need a droid with good storage ability. I'm a resource dealer with no artisan skills or vendors, I personally deliver every order of resource directly to my customers or their vendors. Storage is a key point for business. So if i invest in a droid for this ability, what should i use?
2- Agro tanker droid. Hunting alone as i often find myself (specail hide orders) I need something to tank for me. basically any droid would work? Lvl 30 CL probot or something else. What are good suggestions for thigns to find
3- Astromech droid....I suck in space...easy to get my rear blown off, what astromechs are good to use. R2 better than R3 ( i vote for R2D2 anyday) or is the new R5 better than the R4?
any help ingame or through the forums would be great, thanks.

You may want to check the vendor thread at the top, and look for Bria DE's. You also seem to be attacking MDE's in general, probably not the best way to get help. For every bad DE, there are many good ones.
You also need to realise that right now how Droids are worknig changes just about weekly. So what somebody puts on their vendors may have been true when it was put on there.

yeah we are prolly to blame for not answering your moderately rudely put question, any MDE shold be able to make what you request here, but maybe if you ask nicely...

You might want to check *edit: decided to take link off after reading all the other responses and agreeing with them. Ask nicely and I might put it back up* for Droid vendors in your galaxy. Talk to one of those people in-game.

Well, I know I make every effort to answer any droid related questions put to me via email to the best of my abilities and will answer the same questions via /tell 90% of the time.
If you're having such a hard time getting these questions answered by a MDE in game, please check the Droid User section of the DE 101 stickied at the top of this board. It will answer almost all of the questions you put forth in this thread.
You might consider that the MDEs you had asked might have been quite busy at the time or just arseholes in generalbefore adopting a prejudice against DE's everywhere and advertising it on their profession forum.

I saw your last post...it was as aggresive as this one. I find it amusing that you lump all DE's into the same bucket. And you wonder why people aren't answering your questions directly...

I dont think hes coming back after this, so ill answer the questions
Storage droids go up to 10 item storage, i sell them for under 10k on Sunrunner.
You can get a combat droid with cl 30. It has a guard command to attack anything that damages you.
You can get almost any droid in combat modules. They need one combat module and i think two shield modules to cap. They can take some autorepair modules also which prolly will make it last longer.
Any astro droid is the same as the next, they have no rating other than the level required to use it, which reflects your flight skills.
So any droid from R1 to R5 will do. You DE just has to fit in it a Data Storage module, they sell for approx. 9-15k depending on level.
