Someone working for SWG should do a tour of the galalxies and try to buy a set of Crafting Stations rated > 40. If you can't get a set of them after searching for some reasonable amount of time on every galaxy, then work to make them easier to make. Crafters are thwarted my so many obstacles, some inherent to crafting but many created by design and error of SWG. Can we get this one fixed?

Crafting Stations is where is all starts for a crafter.

Why bother? Is there any actual proof that a 43.xx Crafting Station is any better than a 25.xx or even a -10?

A friend of mine performed a series of about 200 tests (a long time ago, so things may have changed) with a -10 station and a +23 station. There was no statistically significant difference.

Correct. It directly related to DE Issue #2:

# 2 Issue - Experimentation - Droid Experimenation practially has no use currently....

You could have saved a lot of anguish by stating that up front, and in the notes.

Is it just me, or do people have way too much time on their hands and get overly upset about things?

New architects can't compete with old ones? Are you seriously making that argument? Is the crafting station market so lucritive that this is an economy breaking issue for you? I've been an architect since June and I certainly don't rely on crafting station sales to pay the rent, in fact, in 8 months, I think I have gotten 2 requests for a 40+ station to be made. Geez, can we possibly find some other things to complain about?

Last crafting station I had didn't even work. I just use my droid now mostly, or if I am in town, I use our public station. We have a nice 40+ station in our guild hall, and the whole PA uses it. I agree with Tendral, crafting stations just aren't that big of a deal, at least for us MDE's.

TH,

This seems like a really good place to add more communication into the process. When changes are requested, a list of the ramifications should be communicated to the community to make sure that the benefits of the changes outweigh the costs. I realize this is probably much easier said than done, but it definitely seems to be the most needed point in the process for additional discussion.

Each crafting profession has key qualities for experimentation. You need to understand the way the crafting system works in this respect to understand why moving an item from one to the other would force the items key qualities to change.

What is being said is that if the item was moved into Weapon Smith then it would take different key qualities. If it was moved to Tailor, again, different key qaulities that are going to affect the experimentation/base quality.

I know Ill get flamed for saying that this, but what TH is saying makes sense no matter how mad it makes you. These things are tied together.

Yeah, ask TH about communication.

That guy is PAID for communicating. It's his ONLY job. And he is so incompetent and unprofessional that it hurts.

Yes, he has a tought job. Yes, he may do a good job at some points.

But for a person in his position, answering to the question "why did we recieve this nerf" with "because profession XYZ requested it" is not only bad, it's insulting. Clarifying after that is the least he can do.

Maybe he should spend more time thinking about what he posts here. Proofreading it. I think we can expect that from him. He is the only voice form the devs to us. Shouldn't we be able to just understand him, instead of having to post several threads with requests to correct info that should have never been posted in this form in the first place?

*sigh*

Well, I could make 100k+ on any 40+ crafting stations that I could make. I suppose that is just loose change to you, but that is quite a bit of money to me. I was depending on being able to make these, and had just recently recovered from a catastrophic failure of a vendor (which wiped me out completely) two months ago. So now I'm back to trying to build up my business. Again.

If you don't want to discuss this, then make your own thread and start discussing something else.

Don't let the negative AFKophobes get you down. Play the game however you want.

Is the beta testing almost over for this game?

Actually, this is non-sense. A weaponsmith has schematics that require 50%OQ/50%CD. Some require 100%UT. Some 100%SR. Some 66%CD/33OQ. Some 66%CD/33%SR. Some 100%OQ. I could go on...

Point is, there is no link between these attributes and the classes. There is no NEED to change those attributes just because they are moved somewhere else. There may be other reasons, but the one you state just does not make sense.

Wait, to fix experimentation not having any effect, they made it harder to experiment on one of the few things that actually was affected? Huh?
