What do they all do?

Is it good to go all +'s to exp?

Do assembly tapes improve the results i.e. fail, sucess, great sucess...etc.

What do the complexity tapes do.

Your answers would be most benifical.

Droid Exp:For each 10 points of 'Droid Experimentation' that a DE has, the DE gets 1 more point to experiment on their Droids with

Droid Assembly: Increases the chance of great and amazing successes etc

Droid Complexity: I don't think this does anything.

The complexity ones are junk. I put a +1 in a pair of boots and it shows up as an "erronous value" (or something very similar) in the Ctrl S window with your mods.

Also I am not sure but I think the customization ones are junk too. Especially with everyone soon being able to color thier own droids with the next patch.

Also, Droid Speed, Droid Precision, and Droid Tracking Effectiveness are Bounty Hunter Related. They have no benefits for DEs.

Hope this helps! Buyers be wary!

Well, in case you don't know, what they do is increase the skill attributes that you see listed in the ctrl-s window. But what the skills do:

previous posters are right about experimentation and assembly so I'll say nothing more about those.

Droid Complexity: I think that complexity is suppossed to increase the limits on how complex a schematic you can work with while not at a crafting station. I've never tested if it works, but I think that is what it is suppossed to do. Which is pretty useless since I'm sure we all havea droid with a weapon crafting station in it anyway.

Droid Customization: it's suppossed to increase the range of colors you have access to when crafting components that have color selection choices. whether it works, i don't know, i haven't bothered testing. Of course, they took ALL droid related color selection choices out of the game with publish 7, so until publish 8 comes along, customization is also useless even if it does work. either way, customization will be useless to masters unless they change something because the master de already has access to the full color palette.

there never was any connection between droid customization and and the droid cusomization kit. the customization kit gives you access to the full color palette no mater what your customization score is.

Wouldn't a side benefit of decreasing complexity, be how fast a factory is able to produce the products?

It could be, if it lowers the complexity of the schematic and if this translates to the manufacturing schematic. But if it raises the player's ability to use complex items rather than lowering the complexity of the items, than probably not.

I posted a plea in this week's In Concept forum to try to get the devs attention regarding erroneous skill tapes and other skill tape related questions. Hopefully we can get some feedback and ultimately get tapes that dont work removed from the game.

Btw dont try to put a +2 assembly tape into a shirt that already has a +3 assembly. The tapes dont stack and you will lose your skill tape.

thanks for the help any more comments please dont stop!

so i can only have one +1 driod exp per item of clothing?

so i could get (hat, bag, jacket, shirt, pants, shoes) minimum of +6 droid exp. So i need 10 for anything to happen?

how many assmebly tapes do i need or value befor a noticeable change in the sucess rates?

+10 DE Experimentation tapes DO exist. Infact, I have a 2 piece +20 suit. One +12 tape in the vest, and one +8 tape in the pants.

one tape was camped from the borgle cave (+12), and the other I pulled from the putrid, burning carcass of Lord (may he rest in peace) Nyax (+8).

On a side note: The borgle cave has become unbearable on almost all servers. This is was a nice ride for those of use that got in on it early. Now, there are no less than 3 people camping each pile with their third-party mouse clickers going full blast. Don't even think about competing there. Lord Nyax, on the other hand, is inexpicable left alone most of the time. He can be soloed by just about any master of an advanced combat skill, and yields a nice tape every once in a while.
