Thread: A question concerning Maintenance Droids

I'm pretty sure I'm asking a stupid question, so please excuse me if so...

But if I have an advanced R3 droid (which, according to what I've read here, has slots for 6 modules), and a structure maintenance module can cover up to 10 structures, can I load 6 of those modules into a single droid, allowing that droid to take care of up to 60 structures?

I have never used Droids before (obviously) so any help here would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

No...they don't 'stack' in the way you describe. So, only use one SM module.

Hmm... so an absolute maximum of 50 lots taken care of in this fashion per character.

Significantly less helpful. hehehe

Yes and it's realistically 9 structures per droid actually. 10 is the max but you need perfect resources for that in all of the resources, so it isn't really obtainable.

Heh, does it ride the short bus? lol

Ok seriously, here is what you do.

First assign it to a structure, you do this on the Structure maint panel.

Now on the droid you will have some maint options, either to perform a maint run or edit the maint list. Edit just lets you delete structures.

Simply go to the perform maint run option, select your structur,e tell it how much, then when you hgave all the structures setup, tell it to go.

The big catch is if you destroy a structure, you need to remove it from the Droid FIRST. If you don't then you may lock up the module and you wont have any of the maint options.

And furthermore, if the structure is in the middle of your maintenance list, you have to remove everything after it. When you remove a structure from the list, no matter which one you tell it to remove, it removes the last one. so you have to keep removing structures till finally the one you want is last, then remove it (and put whatever you wanted back on the list).

And if you do how do you unlock it, cause I can't get into mine.

I've got a theory on that one... I think if you delete all the structures on the droids list it may unlock itself... Not sure if thats an option for you though. If it is and it works please let me know so I know if my theory on that is right.

Depends on which bug you're talking about (they've got a couple of them). They currently work, though if you deleat a structure without making sure its been removed from the droids list first the maintenance part of the droid gets broken.

Thats the problem. I can't get into the maintenence list to delete the structures that were removed from planets.

I don't know how else to do it. I also cannot get into to do a maintenence run.

Any suggestions?

Buy a new one?

This is a known issue with the Maintenance Droids. If a structure is re-deeded / deleted before it is removed from the maintenance list, mayhem ensues. The module is rendered useless due to an issue with the Maintenance menu listing. In place of the deleted structure, an blank line is introduced into the maintenance menu. This blank entry plays havok with the module and does not allow it to function correctly. If you were able to bring the menu back up, and delete the blank entry, then the module would function as normal.

The blank entry also has the same effect on perfoming a maintenance run as well.

To learn more on how to possibly bi-pass the disabled module, look here. The suggested method of fixing the module does not always work for everyone. I've only been able to reproduce the fix about 1 out of every4 times that I try it.

I actually meant manually destroying the structures (or re-deading them).
