I have not heard one word from a dev or anyone at SOE since they posted the response. I have sent half a dozen emails, including the one I asked you all to critique .. and nothing.

So I guess they feel that their response to us was enough to placate us and shut me up. They are wrong.

Just wanted to let you know I am still here and doing my job --- to bad the Sony reps arent doing theirs.

Yeah, I am pretty bitter .. especially after reading the response BEs, Rangers, Scouts and CHs got on their board. Our DE dev sucks.Whomever has a desire to try their hand at my job, if I dont hear from someone at SOE within the next week regarding any of my emails, the job is yours.

My full support too, if it's meaning something at all.

You've done more than your "job" (and it's not a job, or a benevolent one), be patient, diplomatic, trying to be constructive and to calm down things between mute devs and frustrated DE.

You've done, i think, all that can be done in your position to make things go on. Now the deal is in devs's hand. Until they do something for making us a real profession or at least TELLING us what are their problem/ideas etc.. , they areguilty.

I hope you will not have to dismiss and things will be going better :/

I'm guessing you wouldn't make those same comments again knowing what you do now?

What continues to astound (baffle, amuse, confuse, etc.) me is how you and everyone else on this forum post messages TO the game developers. At what point do you think everyone else will come to realize that they do NOT read this forum (how you couldn't tell that from the designer responses is beyond me) and they do NOT have fixing the DE class anywhere near the top of their list of priorities. In your response I quoted above, at the time, I felt you were being FAR too generous in giving them the benefit of the doubt (read my response) and I think now that some time has passed... you would agree as well.

I'm not saying you aren't putting forth a substantial amount of effort... hell... I KNOW you are. What I am saying is that your efforts are obviously futile. I'm not sure what rosy colored glasses you and everyone else used to read those designer responses... but I suggest you all remove them and see the real picture. Just look over all the replies from various DE to those designer responses... and read them with the full knowledge that NO game developer will ever read them. That is what is truly disappointing. As I said in my response at the time...

"On a final note: I expected our responses to be fairly vague and inadequate... but this is truly a real disappointment. It is obvious you NEVER read the discussions among Droid Engineers on this board. I encourage anyone to read this response and then go read the Developer respones on the Creature Hander forum. DEs are prolly now the most neglected proff now that rangers got love. Im not a DE but Im sure it must blow.

Sintrosi, I feel you have done the best anyone can. Tough trying to talk to a brick wall. Which is basically what is happening here.

It's time we make a hoopla in the main boards, such as discussion and Tech Support. I for one will uber-bump anything you put in there. You've done a great job, and I hope you don't go. I know that if I was in your shoes, the inbox of the DE devs would be melting down with the number of nuclear-napalm-phosphorus flaming email grenades I would have lobbed. I wish I had a job where I could just sit on my butt all day and ignore the people I'm trying to communicate with.

Idea, anybody know the phone number for SOE customer support? How about Q or Holo's office/secretary? I'm more than willing to pay long distance charges to get a **edit** answer from the asshats.

I really think you guys should read the responses holo and Q gave to BE's and the other professions, they apologised for the response taking so long, but if they had to personally answer every whim of forum posters they would never get any work done.

They say they are working hard on fixing the professions, so i say be patient for a little while longer, im sure they will get around to DE's.

As for devsnot answering the DE rep, thats a bit poor imo

not that I'd wish your position on my worst enemy, but I'm glad we have you representing us. Regardless of their responses, the fact that we have such a proactive rep makes it much more bearable. BTW, as of a couple days ago, the fencer rep fell off the face of the earth apparently.
