I have a Master Architect/Master Artisan/Master Merchant account and I have 47 skillpoints left over to play with. I want to invest it in DE, but have a question.
I spend lots of my time decorating homes and building. I am always having to beg and beg to find someone to make me a few Droid Chasis for decoration (especially with custom names, like bartender, servant...etc)
Which tree(s) will I need in order to just build chasis only? I don't have enough skillpoints for the whole DE tree, I am just looking to be able to build thedifferent chasis (like the C3PO, R2..etc) for decorations when clients ask for them.
Thanks in advance

For the chassis, you'll only need the Blueprints line. You'll need Blupiints 4 to get to the Protocol, BLL and R3 chassis.

(Sorry 'bout the multipost)
Just to save you the time of searching, grind MSE droids first, then Adv. Droid Frame Units. You should be able to grind it all out in a few hours if you have the resources and a lot of resistance to Carpel Tunnel.

Great, sounds like Blueprints 1 - 4 is what I need.
One final question: Will I be able to build them with just raw resources? Or will I need sub-components that require another skill to build?
Thanks again

you might need some manipulator arms or manipulator arms set to make the chassi. Since you are master artisan you an get the subcomponents from that box easy. But seeing those arms are in novice DE and BP I you should be set. Also brains is needed in some chassis but they are only in the BP list.

I made my 1st advanced probot last night but was not able to put more than 1 of the combat socket clusters that I had made into the droid. I took both defence/armor ones fine. I had made 3 combat socket clusters total 2 with 3 combat units each & 1 with 3 repair units. could only get one to go in. The other 2 scockets looked like they were for combat socket clusters but none would go in. I have looked over the Faq but didn't see an answer about it there.
Thanks in Advance

The advanced probot can take one combat socket and two combat (or utility) modules, not three combat sockets.

Hi everyone. I am one ofIntrepid's newest DEs and have a fewquestions about whatsub componentsI need to keep on hand and what a good quantity to have is? I made crates of many of the items, but it seems like as I try to go and build a droid, I see an additional component I haven't made.
I searched the forums and didn't find anything, so if it is posted somewhere please point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance.

This is off the top of my head ( am at work right now ), but the Core Components to Build mostare :
- Brains (Adv. Brains)
-Motive System (Adv. Motive System)
- Manipulator Arms (Manipulator Arm Package Set)
- Sensor Package
- Adv. Droid Frame Unit
I usually keep a crate or 2 of all these in my main backpack just incase I have to build a Droid on the Fly.
If you are not a Master Artisan, I would find one, and ask for 1000 EMM's, GP's. You will need them in large quantities as well (mostly for Adv. Brains). Having a couple crates of Control Units, Energy Distributors, Power Condintioners & Micro Sensor Suites (all M.A. Products) is very usefull as well.
I made a little Droid Construction Guide a while ago (doesn't have the new components since Publish 7 & 8 yet), but it is usefull to know what is in each Droid, check out -> http://www24.brinkster.com/rastlore/bearDroids.html
Hope that is helpful.

Its a long list hope I can remember it. 1st off do this:
Make 101 Adv Frames
101 Adv Motive systems (this will require102 control units)
101Droidsensorunits
101 Manipulator arm package sets
101 Adv droid brains (requires 404 EGPs and EMMs)
From these you willbe able to make 100 Adv R3 Droid Frames. With just these frames, and no other items premade, the construction time on an R3 will go from 15 mins to 7 mins. And at this time, 75% of your droid sales should be Adv R3s since they hold the most modules.
To speed up construction time even further, do a factory run of 250 or so Armor 4 modules, and 100 or so armor 6 modules. Any droid that can accept 2 armor should get 2 of the level 4 armors. Any droid that can only accept 1 should get a level 6. In addition, you will want to do a run of 500 or so droid brains. Use 250 to make combat modules, and save therest for making droids.
When you find a resource that will make a really good module, like a Harvest bonus 20 Creature Harvest module, that is the time to do a largefactory run of them.
Different galaxies and planets will have differenent droid needs. I see some people say they sell mostly Entertainer droids, and others say they sell mostly combat droids. Your best bet is to try and make a few of different types of droids, and see what sells for you. When you find out, start mass producing them in your factory.

Minor lil correction. Double that. R3s need 2 factory Adv Droid Brains. ![]()
