makes me glad I just got master DE on my alt. I'm tottaly loving the prof and wondered why I never gave it a shot in the first place.

Congrats man! Hopefully DE will be fixed before it burns out newcomers such as yourself.

Wow, it's a real wonder I don't have a Squad Leader toon too! If I was big on grouping I probably would. I have looked seriously looked into getting novice squad leader but ended up not going that way. Other than DE my most played toon is Ranger and loving it.

I always end up being the odd man out. LOL

Guess we all have that in common and that's why we are DEs!

Go DE! Maybe if chefs get some bug fixes we can take their rank.

DE is the least mastered Crafting profession.

There's something funny about those numbers. In order for both lists to be correct, there would be a lot of folks dabbling in DE. Why would anyone dabble in DE? I suppose you could take just enough DE to make BH droids but with the MA requirements, why would you?

Master Artisan + Master Merchant + Master Insert (Weaponsmith/Armorsmith/Shipwright) + 0044 Droid Engineer

That is what I'm betting a number of crafting alts are.

Because that's the only thing that sells? And because BHs have alts and are tired of not being able to find DEs? Speculation? yes.

I have a DE alt that makes my droids. I am working to make him a full DE/master artisan but realistically there are plenty of Master Artisan that will sell schematics for DE subcompnents all day long for almost nothing

It's a good thing that this Star Wars game encourages such strongly Star Wars professions like swordsman and pikeman so that professions like ours don't get too visible in game.

Well, if you ever played the Pen and Paper versions of SWG, melee professions were actually listed in a number of places....

As to their popularity in a MMORPG, you have to blame all of the hack and slash professions in other MMORPGs. They are typically the professions that many of the nooblets will go after, when joining a MMORPG for the first time. They are the easiest to use and take the least amount of understanding of how the profession works.

If you will note, many of the professions that take some amount of use of tatics or planning are listed as least used. This is typical for human nature, when it comes to the gaming world.

*Master Healer - Master Enhancer streaking across the thread*

--- Cancelled 24th November 2006
Reason: The lack of multiplayer pve content and Star Wars feel.
For 3 years I have tried to find excuses to stay in game but only the expansions offered me what I subscribed for in the first place: A multiplayer Star Wars pve experience with friends around the globe. I found friends but with almost no addition of pve content they dropped out one by one. Now it's my turn.

Only Chef is less popular than DE. But since Chef is actually a profession that has products that people use, the few Chefs that are out there are probably pretty successful despite some bugs in Chef foods.

I'm not so sure about that. I talked recently with a Master Architect who used to be a chef and she said it was horrible, that you have to pretty much give everything away...
