I glanced at the Publish 7 notes, and considering the promises...I aint impressed.

Nope

All is well in the land of DE Uberness, good food is in preparation in the Kitchens, and we can look forward to a feast of goodness, followed no doubt by a night of 'heavy loving' in Pub 8.

I only think this because TK said I should be positive and upbeat..so Tra La La..all is well

Per Ardua Ad Astra..or something very close!

Bah, we've had our problems, but I've still enjoyed being a Droid Engineer quite a bit. From our POV though, publish 7 is more of a setup for publish 8. I'm looking at 7 as laying the concrete on top of the dirty, dusty lot with little tumbleweeds blowing around and 8 as the framework of the new house. We still may not get walls, plumbing, or even electricity, but the base is still there!

Well, at least it isn't a step backwards for Droid Engineering. It may not be a huge step forward, but every bit counts.

In the end. Somewhere. Somehow. I think.

Not only is there still great suckage in the profession, but now there also seems to be a dearth of DEs with their lips firmly planted on the Dev's stink-holes. Some DEs out there seem to think that any enhancements to droids in the (gasp!) combat field will be overpowering and will throw the game off it's axis, plunging us into the sun.

Well said, Darth. Might want to watch your wording tho. The nuns might smack you with the ruler across the back of your hand. But I have to agree completely with what your saying.

Note how the "DE Cult of Self-Castration" comes out to one-star anyone who doesn't adhere to their gospel.

Well, no. My guess is they one starred you for posting something that didn't advance anything and was completely inflammatory.

But that's just my guess.

I guess I must be the only angry one left. All else that seems to be left are the apathetic and the neutered.

Still working on the profession- I haven't been overly impressed with it, but I've been doing a robotics competition (FIRST robotics if anyone else out there's on a high school robotics team) and I'm a little sick of mechanical creations at the moment
