Thread: How rich is everyone?

I was just wondering how much money everyone is making with the DE profession. We're complaining about a lot of things broken or not really well thought out, but are we not successful businessmen? I think that might be a good question to look at.

So.. if anyone is at all interested. Fill this out:

Server:

DE Level:

How long you've held this level:

How long have you been working on DE:

Current Credits:

Most Credits Had:

Do you consider yourself successful in your business?

Are you happy you went with DE?

Here is mine:

Server: Tarquinas

DE Level: Master DE

How long: A month

How long have you been working on DE: Since the game launched. Hit Novice among the first five on the server, but got a little behind with work and school and mastered a little later.

Current Credits: 1,200,000 (Roughly)

Most Credits Had: 1,300,000 (roughly.. just bought some resources and such, put me down)

Are you successful: Yeah, in a way. I've got a good client base, but I'm in a poor location on Talus, so I depend on word of mouth mostly.

Are you happy: In a way. I've found it rewarding, but also frustrating. I really wish I could color my droids, and the first month and a half was a real frustration with the nerf and things not working. But I think it's fun.

So.. if you want to participate in the survey perhaps a dev or our correspondent will look at it and see something useful. If not... well, another post wasted, .

Server: Flurry

DE Level: 4-3-3-4

How long you've held this level: About 2 days

How long have you been working on DE: About 6 weeks

Current Credits: 750K

Most Credits Had: 850K

Do you consider yourself successful in your business? Yes, I roll my income into more experience. I'm also an expert Weaponsmith, (with good weapons), but can't generate income there.

Are you happy you went with DE? Yes, It's fun to make droids. It's boring when business is slow, but business is fairly good.

Most Credits Had: 150k

Do you consider yourself successful in your business? Business? DE is a money-sink

Are you happy you went with DE? NO. But I'm a glutton for punishment.

DE Level: 4/3/3/4

How long you've held this level: About a week

How long have you been working on DE: About 2 months

Current Credits: 370k or so

Most Credits Had: 370k or so

Do you consider yourself successful in your business? Yes, I would have to say I am. I'm not exactly earning a fortune, but my bank account gets a little bigger week by week, and my customers come back to me again.

Are you happy you went with DE? Yes and no. I LIKE droids very much, and rather enjoy making them. But I'd really like to see fewer bugs and more options and functionality.

In my opinion, the benefits of droids should be such that you rarely see anyone without one. People should be clamoring for a Novice's low-level droids when that's all they can afford, and saving up for their next big droid purchase, just as they do with guns, armor and housing.

DE Level: Master DE

How long you've held this level: a Few Days

How long have you been working on DE: at least a month of grinding time

Current Credits: 25K

Most Credits Had: 700K when starting the DE grind

Do you consider yourself successful in your business? Slightly. I've sold mostly surgical droids with food/chem crafting stations. I'm increasing my prices now, so we'll see.

Are you happy you went with DE? Yeah, because it has so much potential, and I really love the ability to make droids. I just wish it was "fixed".

How long you've held this level: one day

How long have you been working on DE: 6 weeks

Current Credits: 275'000

Most Credits Had: about 300k

Do you consider yourself successful in your business?
Yes, I have some nice customers and my current location is not even that good. I think there is much room for improvement. Also being friendly and helpful to (potential) customers has helped me tremendously in the past and I will try to stay that way in the future as well.

I have earned almost all my money through selling droids, even the money for most of that 620k of resources I had to burn through. I probably earned less than 30k doing missions since I joined this game.

Are you happy you went with DE?
It is the profession I wanted to play since I first heard about the game. It is a very hard life as a droid engineer but it still is rewarding for me. There are many things that could and should be fixed but so far I am loving every minute I play.

Server: Tarquinas

Level: Master

Time held: 1 week or so

Working on DE: 2-2.5 months

Current cash: 700k

most cash: 800k (would have quitea bit more but I buy all resources, master artisan parts, and support an architect, bio-engineer, and weaponsmith/armorsmith/tailor)

Successful: most definately, I have a customer list of about 250 people, get plenty of business through return customers and word of mouth, and am able to support myself and all my friends with no problem. Also well known and respected all over tatooine and some areas of naboo.

Happy: again, most definately, I love making droids, each one is different. It gives me something to think about solving or circumventing some of the problems/bugs, meet good people, and make people's star wars dream of owning a droid come true.

Do you consider yourself successful? Somewhat. I dont make as much money as I'd like to, but its mostly because of my lack of self motivaiton.

Are you happy you went with DE? Generally, yes.

How long have you been working on DE:

-Oooh, this is a question about time, isn't it? I'd say about 3 weeks

Current Credits: 60k

Most Credits Had: 120k

Do you consider yourself successful in your business?

-Yes, finally. Didn't even open shop until I gained this current level. But the money is good enough to keep me happy now. Not enough to make me rich but one step at a time I suppose.

Are you happy you went with DE?

-Yes. Though it would be nice if the DEVs went DE as well and actually worked on them instead of more Creature Handler stuff.

Do you consider yourself successful in your business? No, not really. But that's okay. I haven't really started to try running 'the business' until now. I've split time since release doing half DE and half TKA skills. Climbing two elite professions (when one is DE) at the same time is really....rough. I can see how this will get better once I hit Master and can devote more time to the actual sales of droids.

Are you happy you went with DE? Yes and no. I'm more hopeful and impatient than outright happy. I suspect once I get to Master, I'll feel differently and can get a better perspective on this crafting profession choice.

Do you consider yourself successful in your business? I have a consistent and repetitive customer base in a profession where most find the business end to be lacking, so yes I'd call myself successful.

Are you happy you went with DE? I'll say I'm not entirely disappointed, but this profession needs a lot of work to make me happy with it.
