I was wondering what everyone else looks for when ordering Comp Armor Segments. Do you order Adv Comp Armor Segments, or regular Comp armor segments. And what stats you normally expect or look for. Thanks.

I go for the cheapest. LOL Doesn't effect the final product in the end.

But when you say cheapest, what does that mean exactly. I'm looking for something to compare against. I had a master armorsmith make me a schematic last night and I ran off a lot of comp armor segments in one of my factories. Not sure whether they're poor quality, mediocre, or even terrific. They're reg comp armor segments, but that's about all I know at this point without something to compare against.

My understanding of them, is that it does not matter. Regular, advanced, uber, whatever you want... it'll all be the same. Personally, I just buy them by the crate (around 100 creds each I get them for) and the crates hold 50 of them.

""Armour:
Two level 4 armour modules give you 40% Medium armour. This is obtained by one level 6 armour module. 40% medium armour is the current max for armour. Droids that use armour have special slots for them. They do not take up module slots.""

Oh I see... Ackis I just read your FAQ you posted, and I'm quoting from it here. So the quality of the comp armor segments is really irrelevent then? Wow.

Thanks Ackis. Very informative. I'm a holo DE, but I intend to stick with DE for some time. I enjoy making droids but I still have a lot to learn.

Not all holo seekers are bad. I'm a holo TKA (got my holo 2 months ago, and I'm only a 1/1/1/2 tka right now) and one of my first posts on the TKA board was about the history of TKA... and that made me love it so much more. Now I'm just having fun with TKA as I go through and level it.

So does it matter what kind of segment you use then? (comp, bone etc)

It has to be composite armor segments. Normal ones.

Well the schematic calls for Comp armor segment.

Sorry for the noob question, while I can make armour segment 1, since the only thing I can currently put it in as an adv MSE I didnt quite see the point :-)

This will come up when you can make Level 5 and Level 6 Droid armor segments. The schematic calls for a Composite Armor Segment, which you yourself can not make. You have to either purchase them from an Armorsmith, or get one to make you a schematic, which you can run off in your own weables factory. That;s what I did last night.
