Thread: Best Species for DE ?

Once I unlock Im going to have my alt go droid engineering (always been a goal of mine). I actually was going to go DE back at launch but that dream was crushed when I learned DE wouldnt have their own personal army of droids to command (thinking like ch with 3 pets)
Anyway, I read something about humans or some race gets a bonus to artisan experiment or assembly (something like that). My shop isnt in a research town so I need any extra bonuses i can get. Any race that has bonus to artisan stuff and droids ? I was thinking sullik or mon cal.

Humans have +15 to artisan experimentation (IIRC), means you can even get up to 14 Experimentation Points with CA's

Wow, I didn't know that. The reason I picked a Wookiee was because I remembered Chewbacca tinkering with C-3P0 when he was all broken in EpV.

However, please note that that is ARTISAN experimentation, not DE experimentation. There isn't really a species that has any benefits to DE skills. Since quality doesn't matter on the MA crafted items, I'd say that it's really a matter of personal preference.

I factor the capacitive bridge into my designs. It helps me squeeze out a few points on Harvest and Detonation modules too. Wookiee claws make pretty handy droid tools as well.

Rodians have that slimy film on their skin that gets all over the components. Ewwwyy..
The only 'DE' shown in SW originally was a Wookiee (even though he hooked up the head backwards).

Unless you're just talking about the original trilogy... Star Wars' most known character was a droid engineer... Mr. Vader himself. Afterall, when he was still Anakin, he did create C3PO.
Which brings me to another point: How could a profession, that Star Wars' most noticable character belonged to, be so ingnored and borked?
