Trust me, Jenden and the Glowies ( jeez that sounds wierd ) are aware of the many modules that are slowly becomming "undesireable" due to recent changes.

Not much more I can say about that.

Well we don't seem to be very high on the Dev radar lately. 2 weeks and they still have not addressed they harvester droid group bonus issue.

You know, we had to deal with the whole "no extra checkers" mentality for how long?

Then we finally got the modules for droids to give us some need, and now they are just giving away those "extra checkers" to everybody for free...

Kinda freaking awkward if you ask me.

As long as the categories aren't fixed, vendor search will be mostly useless. Just think about how many things are sold in factory crates. And merchant barkers are also used to get guild/city members.

If anything, people will want to spam to stand out in the long lists in the search function.

What is the point of merchant barker modules now? With the new vendor search system barker droids are no longer usefull. They killed the maintenance droids, then they borked harvestor droids, now this? Jesus H. Christ, what is going on. All we have left is Med droids, BH droids, bomb droids. Thank good I make them all in volume.

I don't know about your server, but with the new faction perks and bases, and the fact you can buy a hospital with faction points, faction hospitals are all over the place now......more hospitals=less need for med droids.......before long, they will even work us out of the med droid buisness...........

The Metalic Brotherhood, formally known as Jenden and the Glowies , have all voiced our complaints about the state of affairs of the DE profession and many of the recent changes to the game that have rendered many of our products less then useful.

From my perspective, the DEV team has put a lot of focus on improving the game for the overall player which, more often then not, has come at the expense of certain professions - DE being one of them.

The only words that I have to offer on this subject matter, sincewe all find it ratherirritating to see what on the surface appears to be a disregard for certain profession's abilities, are that if the dedication that is being made to improve the game, through many of the changes and additionsthat we will see during the Combat Upgrade and possibly during the RoW expansion, are applied to the non-combat professions, then there is light at the end of the tunnel.

We, along with a few other professions and abilities, are being swept up in the changes that are being made to the game to make it more Star Warsy and fun for the player base as a whole. Unfortunately, until the focus of the DEV team is shifted away from the current projects, professions such as Droid Engineer, Architect, Tailor, Artisan, and the Entertainment professions are left in a sort of production limbo.

All that I have read, in the Correspondents forum andCombat Upgrade forum, lead me to believe that we really will have our time in the lime light. Its just a matter of patience and the determination to make the best of what we have right now. I know that my words don't offer much, but they are all that I have to offer, as someone who has voiced what can be voiced for this community, to the DEV team.

I think Drashk stated the current situation very well. However, I am still working on at least getting more info (and trying to push the harvester bug up in priority).

I feel that we are in good hands with Jenden and the Glowies, but am having my doubts if the Devs are listening.

I understand the patience line, the changes are good overall for the game, but as some of us are swept aside, they really need to talk to us more.

There is a finite amount of people that will ever really "dig" crafting, if we get neglected to long, we may soon be as hard to find as a live Entertainer. They need to say what they have planned to keep people around.

New crafters will come into the market all the time...it's not that that I'm concerned over.

The ease of factory production does really make it possible for a small number of dedicated crafters to easily supply most of the needs of the playerbase.

What I think would get crafters into the game more is a bigger support role to the combatants. Being a part of building what the combat players will really lust after (post-CU) is the key. How that's done (quests, GCW changes, new schematics, etc.) is unimportant.

What I think is important is to clue in to the crafting "thinking man's game". The crafting puzzles via the FS quests is the start of the example of what I think would keep some in the crafting game much longer.

The content just has to be built. It's as simple as that.

maybe someone should ask them if they realize what they're doing to us at tomorrows Dev chat.

Something like:

" several recent changes have made the game easier to play but negatively affected the DE profession. What plans do you have to fix what you've broken in one the most underapreciated professions in SWG. "
