One storage module and a Level 3 Structure mod? Yea, those are gonna sell big time (once Structure mod is fixed on Live).

Ahem, anyway, I would have to say my favorite droid is my power droid. I made it way back when, as soon as I had the skill to. It kind of reminds me of my brother walking around with a carboard box over his head, makes me laugh everytime he makes that !!GONK!! sound.
The R2 unit, obviously. ![]()
The most awful part of Episode 1 for me was when the other astromechs got blasted trying to fix the shields on the royal starship.
Lucas annoyed me five minutes into episode 2 when that green R2 unit got damaged in the explosion. I kept thinking... "They can still fix it... Artoo got repaired when he took more damage than that..."
Protocol droids, just in character.
We had a beauty pagent and the winner got a droid of her choice, looser got the droid of my choice. So I made the runner up a Protocol with an explosive module and a confetti module, dark grey with purple accents and a stupid chip. IMO that thing was better than the winners prize!
Also my Smoking Joe's, protocols with playback mods and fog. Grey with red accents, perfect for those back alley cantinas.
1.) Advanced Binary Load Lifter with weapon/droid crafting, merchant barking, and level 6 storage. I can't sell any of theseto save my life because they are too expensive to make (for just 3 modules), but I love this droid. Part of the reason is probably because we didn't have Duranium steel on Radiant til last September, so for months I sat and waited for my chance to build the BLL. Absence makes the heart grow fonder, ya know!
or:
2.) Advanced LE Repair Droid with 3 combat modules, level 6 armor, and personality chip. HAM is 6000, res 40%, TH 0.41, AS 1.5, DAM 68-84. Sure the damage sucks, but when people see 6k ham on a combat droid, they will spend INSANE amounts of money to secure one. I have had multiple LEs on my vendor with 6k ham, along with a few with about 5800-5900 ham. People pay twice as much for the 6k over a 5900. What's the bloody difference?!!?? Is an extra 100 ham worth 25-30k credits? And most importantly, DO I CARE?!?! I'll gladly take your money, folks!
This model has made me about 5 million credits since publish 8 went live.
I've always been partial to R4s. I remember when I placed an order for one of them on both the Tempest and Radiant servers (long before I made a DE of my own), I got the same response from both DEs: "Sure I'll make you one. It's just odd that I've never had anyone specifically order an R4 before" ![]()
And a close 2nd would be the Power Droids. *GONK*
I do like the R3, but I agree its far too common. I also like Treads and Power droids
