Thread: Shift in discussion?
- Building the necessary resource stockpile to make quality buffs. Shouldn't take more the 5-8 months to make really good buffs.
- Having the lots necessary for production and storage facilities. Let's see...how about 6 factories, 10-20 harvs if you're going to harvest your own resources, and at least one storage building (but you could use your factories in a crunch...or maybe a storage vendor-oh...skill points? no problem)
- Developing a retail presence...oh...and if you want your own vendors, do you have the skill points without altering your template?
- Meat approach #1: Shall we good spend two weeks hunting Nunas and Kaadus on Naboo? ....or something where ever good avian is spawning right now....oh, and let's not forget the herbivore meat we need for the ACRDMs...
- Meat approach #2: Let's see, how much money is in my bank acount and how much avian meat can I buy at 250CPU?

It seems to me that while you reduce the stress of interacting with buff line customers-which in the order of human behavior is only slightly more enjoyable then being the janitor in Jabba's Palace-you exchange it for the following minor challenges:

Making and selling packs is a grind just like running a buff line in Coronet...it'sjust a different kind of grind. I've avoided buffs as much as possible in my business because to do a good job of producing buffs in quantity my game time would be all about buffs and buff resources...not a choice that I've wanted to make-but that's just me.
couldn't be more true... i stopped doing buff lines about the time JTL came out... I started getting my act together to crafta couple months before that, but used the lines to generate money to save me time when it came to buying older decent stuff that there wasn't a good spawn of at that time. Before JTL, there was ALWAYS a doctor there in the "busy hours" meaning late afternoon till the early am hours. in fact there was usually 2. THE DAY JTL went live, the only people that were in starports were people either passing through, or people going to get to the terminals to launch into space... it took about i'd say 2 or 3 weeks on my server to start seeing people repopulate spaceports. I remember like the 3rd day after JTL came out I went out front of coronet to see if there was smuggler, and there was ABSOLUTELY NO ONE. And this was like 1 am EST, still a very busy time normally.
after the hype settled down people went back to their ground gaming and the population has been evening out, but there are still many times when there is no doc trying to get some cash with buff lines. IDKwhat it is for sure, but it can almost garantee you all the docs just didn't decide to up and start crafting... it's not that easy, and it's very time consuming. It is fun though, at least for me ![]()
