I've been a Doctor for probably more then 3/4 of my game time. Since I moved to another server, I dropped it, but now I'm picking it back up because I can't stand not having it. I have been following the Doctor community since day one, so I won't ask a million questions that can be found in the FAQ.

Just wanted to put my face in here, because I will be putting my 2 cents in a little more frequantly now that I'm picking it back up. I'm excited to get back in here and start helping out with all the questions and comments that are posted day after day.

Any ways, see you all on the flip side.

I've always filled the Support Role in pretty much any game I play. But when I switched server (Gorath to Starsider) I didn't have the resources, money, or equipment to just jump in and start doing Doctor again.

I've never been a social buffer, I don't like to waste game time pleasing other people and not myself. I don't even run with buffs most of the time, because it takes away from the challenge of the game.

I've been a Doc since pretty much day one of the game but after I moved I couldn't really afford to pick up where I left off. I had no money and no connections on Starsider. So I picked up Combat at first (Master Brawler, Swordman, Pikeman, Novice Scout) until I could get on my feet. I spent about 5 months harvesting resource with the help of a guild mate who could survey. I already knew what I was looking for, it was just a matter of time waiting on the shifts.

Things I missed about being a Doctor....30m drag, Stims, State Cures, and Revive packs. My guild is small, just a bunch of friends that came with me from Gorath. So we didn't have a Dedicated Support person to help on hunts and stuff. But recently in preperation for the CU, we have been reallocating all of our profession to meet the needs of everyone involved. And because I had the resources, and always planned to come back to Doctor, I figured now would be a good time. I've established myself on Starsider enough to not to hurt myself wasting money on resources and craftable items.

Doctor in my opinion is the best profession I have ever played. I don't care for crafting much, so the fact that Doctor has it, but not in excess is great. You have to craft as a Doctor, but you can do other things as well. And to make things easier, and much more fun, my guild is starting to do group hunts, unbuffed and unarmored. It's a nice welcome to getting back in the groove of being a good well rounded Doctor.

Being Doctor is a lot harder then sitting at a Starport. It takes skill and coordination to actually be good in the field. It's a shame more people don't realize that. Anyone can heal, but it takes true skill to do it well and keep a group of 10+ in good working order.

Kewl, I think you should stick with what you enjoy. Btw, I checked out those videos you made, awesome! What software did you use to capture the in game video and add in the text/music?
