When crafting items to sell in your shops, do you use your best materials, and best sub components for everything you make? Or do you save your really good stuff for buff packs, and use normal sub components, and mediocre materials for things like wound packs, state cures, rez kits, etc.?

Well each sort of item can benefit or not benefit from good subcomps...
- I always use full charges ABEC, since charges are always useful.
- For Rez Kits, use the worst LSs you can make since power doesn't even come into play with them (no experimentations on LSs so they come out of the factory faster too).
- For Stim Bs and C I tend to use ACRDMs while I tend to make Veggie Ds and Es (I make more full-adv Ds as they don't require that 3rd ABEC).
- For State Cures, ABECs for the charges and if EoU is under 55, then no problem.
- For Wound Pack Bs, try to get a power around 150-160 but don't go overboard as wounds aren't a big concern.
- For PvE Poison/Disease Cures, gets EoU down to Novice Doc and don't really worry about it.
- Lastly, for PvP Poison/Disease Cures, treat them like buffs.

I look at this question in a different way: what service are you trying to provide your customers and what is your competition doing? If your competitors have a fully stocked shop (regular meds and buffs) and make quality stuff, your customers might choose to shop from them if you cut corners on your standard meds. If it's just to have product available and to make whatever extra sales you get, then it may not matter.
From my prespectivethere's money to be made in standard meds done well. I'm known as the free-clinic Doc because I price so low (average per unit sale price is around 1,100 credits), but I've managed to sell almost 120 million credits of standard meds in the last 4 months...just because my standard med vendors are always stocked and stocked with good stuff.

If you can harvest all ingredients, there's never a reason to use the standard instead of advanced ... but if I'm a bit short on something I tend to save the best for buffs. I'm lucky in that the next-best Tat Fiberplast is allowing 22 charges with the best Lokian Wild Wheat.
