Thread: Mind Damage Healing should be Combat Medic's job
Proposal- Mind Damage healing should be a Combat Medic only ability, using stims, and giving the Combat Medic mind wounds.
Reasoning- Combat Medics are supposed to be the essential in the Field healers. Mind is critical pool right now. Mind Wounds balance the infinite self healing loop, and keep entertainers important.

I prefer doctors to have this hability and squad leaders should have it too, actually combat medics are much better for pvp than doctors, I am for enhancing the less effective classes rating than enhancing the third best prof in pvp 1.Commando 2.BH 3.Combat Medic.
But mind should be healed with easy to be considered a true healable bar.

I read your arguement but you failed to answer the one important question: Why?
Why do you need an ability to show a distinction between CMs and Docs? Is there not a huge one already? Hello ranged and AE heals! Those things rock.
Heres how I think its gonna be played out.
SOE doesnt want mind damage to be a part of combat.
But it is.
So SOE will try to fix that.
But they wont.
So they will end up giving mind healing capabilites to Master Docs and Master CMs (killing two birds with one stone there) and leave mind wounds to entertainers.
I say killing two birds with one stone because people want extra abilites added to Master Docs and Master CMs to make it worthwhile to reach those two milestones while at the same time giving us something we're already screaming about.
It'll be awhile before any of this happens but who knows? Maybe they WILL be able to fix what they dont like about mind damage and then this will bea moot discussion.

I can't see how giving Mind Damage healing to Combat Medics invalidates the entertainers. They can't heal Mind Damage now, so they lose nothing. And if using Mind Stims gives the CM Mind Wounds/Battle Fatigue, this actually increases the need for Entertainers to combat the effects of the Mind Heals.
StratoFett - I would not be unopposed to giving Mind Heals to Doctors. The only reason I suggest it for CM vs Doctor is related to this thread here.

There is concern that people are vacating the CM profession for Doctor, because the CM's don't seem to be as effective healers in the field as Doctors. I'm trying to kill two birds with one stone here.
I am opposed to see this go to non-medical professions, like Squad Leader or Entertainer (for reason outlined in my CM post), or into the basic Medic tree, where non-specialized medics will be able to spend a few points to self heal their mind.
