Thread: Skill mod. clothes

Does anyone know what the status of bio engineer enhanced clothes with skill modifiers is? I just bought a pair of pants with +3 medicine use, +3 wound treatment and one more. But I seem to remember that equiping such clothes could cause permanent damage to your skills. Is that still true - or has it been fixed? I haven't dared equiping them, as I need every bit of medicine use I have


Any help greatly appreciated.

Last I heard, they did nothing. Good nor bad. Just nothing.

I'm 99% positive that the "permanent damage" statment was a misnomer brought up by someone who did not realize what they were seeing happening.


If you are weaing the clothes and take them off, then yes you will see a negative modifier applied. But if you logged for a while (a good while, mind you) with those clothes off, you would see them back to normal when you logged back in. They you can put the clotes on and they will give positive modifiers again.


In other words always take your skill mod clothing OFF before logging off.


Holo stated in a recent Dev Tracker thread that he is pretty sure this issue is fixed internally (he actually thought it was live already). This means we should see it patched, at least to Test Center, in the near future.
