I assume you can't revive a faction pet with a Rez pack. Just curious if anyone has tried it though. If it doesnt work it should...I mean we can revive players why not another "humanoid" pet.

Ah well I can dream thanks for your feed back.

Don't have any faction pets, but all reports I have had were that it does NOT work. It's even listed as an issue in the Big List. (Not sure of number, since I just consolidated it into a singleRes Pack Issues item, but somewhere around #20, I think.)

Oh, duh. That also means that I'm very intersted in finding out if any has tested this to make certain it is the case. I'm always afraid I have a few issues in here that aren't issues at all, but may just lack good documentation or someone tested it incorrectly. (Like the not being able to wear armor after buffing issue. It may not be a problem with buffing, but a problem with the message it gives you not being clear enough about what the problem is.)

IMO, you should be able to revive an NPC pet, but not a dark trooper (which is a droid according to starwars.com) and not an AT-ST.

I read some where an AT-ST was revived....I never saw this so it could be complete BS. I'm sure not going to ask someone to get their AT-ST killed so I can test it out

I tried it on my own dead faction pet a couple weeks ago, didn't work.

Thanks, Big_Ears. That's a big help for me to keep making sure listed issues remain current.

If anyone has a very recent example, like in the last few days, that would be great, too.

I can confirm that revive kits do NOT work on faction pets, at least not on Rebel Troopers. Tried it yesterday, and I doubt that it is a bug. Devs have stated several times that they do not wish faction pets to "live forever".

Now I wish I can remember the error message I got, but from what I can remember, it made me think it was intended. For Rebels, it's only 450 FP for a top end pet, so that doesn't hurt too bad.

My main Doctor issue with faction pets is that enhance packs seemed to be pretty buggy with them. Not sure if this is with all pets, but the enhancements seem to drop arbitrarily (and not from all stats). Sometimes it's at the designated time, and at other times it's 5 minutes after being buffed. If the buff drops early, you cannot rebuff. Not a big deal, as storing them and recalling resets all their stats and allows you to rebuff them, but it sure does take up a lot of kits.

Zarlor, from my experiences last night, I can attest that I was unable to revive a faction pet.

The faction pet was a Rodian owned by a Rebel. I was overt at the time, participating in a raid on an Imperial Guild. The message received was something along the lines telling me I could only apply the res kit to a player.

And a FYI, in case there are other newly minted Master Surgeons out there- if you wish to heal someone who is not in your group, have them grant you consent.

Thanks guys. That info is a big help.

And Void, i don't remember seeing any Dev mention of Faction Pets, unless it was in Beta (where I probably wasn't paying as much attention to that as I shoudl have. )

At any rate, it's at least listed as an issue since enough folks keep bringing it up. If it makes up into the Top 5 maybe then we can see some response directly stating that for us.

I never joined a faction during beta, so I wouldn't know what the word was then. However, I do remember seeing posts along that line after the changes were made to pet cost. I wish I could pull up those threads for you, but I can't remember them, or who said it.

The post that sticks out in my mind was made by one of the devs in the Tech Center forum. He was responding to a discussion about faction pets and mind healing (as pet stims do not work on them, so you can't heal their mind damage). He stated that this was "probably" intentional, as faction pets weren't meant to "live forever".

Once the boards stop acting goofy, maybe I'll go search for it. Not that I wouldn't mind seeing this changed

Hmm.... you may be right. Vass may have mentioned something like that, but I seem to recall it as being kind of an off-hand remark anyway. Not to mention they've made so many flip-flops on what they dow tih pets, who knows what they think on the issue from one day tot he next.

I wouldn't worry about doing a search for it, though, I was just curious. We'll see f there is a more official position to it if that issue makes it up into the Top 5 sometime. (Well, and assuming the Devs will even respond to the issue to begin with.)
