Thread: an Idea that might solvel mutiple problems if it can be implemented right
A real Medic droid.
Rules : 21-b type droid (or similar medical type), that is in fact a vendor. Crafted by DE's it can only be placed in a player Hospital.
- Vendor is stocked by a Doc with healing stims of all sorts
- Player can access vendor and pay a small amount to heal wounds/states/posions (or free service)
What this can also do.
- structures with vendors cannot be made private
- change codeing so that TEF cannot toss you out of a public only building
this eliminates the walk into house and make it Private to escape combat, also eliminates the TEF toss out of docs from player owned cantana and hospitals that have vendors.
Gives docs a vendor to place in hospital so it is "maned" 24/7

This sort of thing has been brought up before. But it does have some problems. In a way the thought is sort of nice but it does have effects to the people that actually want to do the doctor work in person. This would kill the person to person doctor market. Everyone would just go to some vendor/npc/droid automated doctor replacement and the role of the doctor would simplybecome crafting and stocking a vendor only.
So yes this has been discussed and I think most doctors are against it.
However, there are ways to make automated doctor buffing while you are AFK. This takes some fancy macro work and a private house set with a entrance fee to pay for the buff. But it does work. However it uses your character in an automated way while you are AFK. But even this has its pros and cons. Just don't run out of packs if you do this and good luck keeping up.
