I’m new to the profession and have not had much experience in PvP or on large PvE raids. I’m looking for some Tips on how to setup my hotkey bar or toolbar (whatever its called).

Thanks in advance for your help.

lol

I have my numpad set up with pretty much all self and others macros..

Since I PvP a bit, and am a CM and Doc, my role is usully several in a fight.. I need to be able to toss poisons as well as heal myself and others..

So most of the straight keypad macros are for myself, Heal, state heals, cures, etc..
Then, a second layer on the keypad using CTRL do the exact same things, but for others.. It makes it a bit easier to remember that way.

And I use macros for everything rather than straight /ui action toolbarslot calls so that I can do a /ui action clearCombatQueue (Not sure if that is exact) before I do the action..

A lot of people dont know, but you can extend your hot key bar to 2 rows, with the second row being activated using "shift + F#" keys.

My first hot key page is something like:

1a - UA hit 3 1b - meditate

2a - UA spin 2 2b - powerboost

3a - Knock Down 3b - mount

4a - UA hit 2 4b - dismount

5a - UA dizzy 5b - force of will

6a - UAleg hit6b - vibro knuckler

7a - UA body hit 7b - republic blaster

8a - UA head hit 8b - rezkit

9a - harvest meat 9b - drag

10a - heal state self 10b - cure poison

11a - heal damage self 11b - follow

12a - heal damage 12b - stop follow

The second hot key page is filled with buff packs and wound packs

The third page is filled with various emotes and macro tells

Zabrak PvP doctor/carbineer, first hotkey pad:

F1-F4 Stand - Kneel - Sit - Prone

F5-F8 Follow - Healdamage - Legshot 3(actiondamage) - Stopfollow

F9-F12 Equilibrium - Firstaid - Corpse/Dragincapacitatedplayer - Deathblow/Loot

SF1-SF4 Chargeshot2 (area KD) - Fullautoarea2 (area states/damage) - Burstshot2 (area damage) - Actionshot2 (area bleed)

SF5-SF8 Chargeshot1 (single KD) - Fullautosingle2 (single states/damage) - Crippling Shot (single damage) - Scattershot2 (single multi-pool damage)

SF9-SF12 Curepoison/Curedisease - Healstates/Extinguish - Rez/Heal -Burstrun

All the doctor-related ones are done as macros, starting with clearing the combat queue. I try to put multiple related things into the same macro. With all states in the same macro, the game cures the first one it finds. Same with poison and disease. My rez/heal macro makes perfect sense, because the first thing someone needs after a rez is a heal and this does them both instantly.

My definition of PvP is large-scale GCW raids on bases and player cities. I don't play one-on-one PvP, it doesn't interest me. As my focus is solely on helping a large force fighta large force, carbineer is great for a support role as it hasarea-effect states, area-effect damage, area-effect bleed/posturedownand area-effect knockdown. But I spend 99% of the time using doctor skills instead.

Rifle/Doc...mine are a bit over the place, but I have gotten used to it and don't want to change

F1-F4: Stand - Kneel - Sit - Burstrun

F5-F8: HeadShot3 - Advanced Strafe - Flushing Shot - CureAllSelf Macro

F9-F12: Snipershot - Peace - HealSelf Macro - Intimidate

Next row is Equalise and Muon gold, plus Rez kits, interchangeable weapons, and macros for healing states and damage on other people.
