Medic forum perhaps would serve your purpose better.
For the crafting line in medic make Biological Effect Controllers (BEC). You'll need about 5 crafting kits to any worth while progress.
Once you've reached Novice Doctor, you can craft the Advanced BEC to grind up the crafting line in Doctor.
I have a good macro, but Lowca is currently down.

Off the top of my head, the following macro should work:
Macro named: craft01
/ui action toolbarSlot12; - opens the crafting tool in Slot12
/selectDraftSchematic 00; - chooses the BEC schematic (you may have to play around with this number, as it wont be the same for every person)
/pause 5; - allows you to select the resources (reduce/increase this to suit yourreaction times)
/nextCraftingStage;
/nextCraftingStage;
/createProtoType practice no item;
/createPrototype practice no item;
/pause 3; - I find any less, and it causes problems loading the next macro
/macro craft02; - calls up my next crafting macro
I have 8 crafting tools, along my toolbar (slots 12 - 19), along with 8 macros. Macro craft08 calls up macro craft01, so that the whole process loops over and over. I've also got a simple /dump macro on hand, in case I need to take a break.
As Menoetius said, 5 tools should work fine (along with 5 macros).
With a macro, you can pretty much do the crafting line of medic within 1 hour. The Doctor crafting line took me nearer 4-5 hours. About to do it all over again for a friend's char this weekend
