yeah, doctor can be rewarding.
just don't let all the people sending you tells like "can u buff me?" or just "BUFF ME" get you down like i did. another downer is people bellowing 'HEAL ME'.

The plan for tomorrow night is right along this same path.
Considering my feelings towards dancers and tumblers, I am going to make a few stacks of stimpack Bs and head out into the wild. I'm going to look for hunting groups, random guys and gals doing missions, and the best static spawns to sit around and heal my fellow players.
Armed with my droid and some not so good Stimpack Bs, I hope the players are as receiving as last time
I'm going to learn every aspect of this profession if it kills me! ...and I'm sure a Tusken or rancor will tomorrow

Summed up the role of medic / doctor perfectly IMO.
Seen but not heard, used but not compensated for the most part.

I really miss those early days, when we only had bad wound-b's and huge healing crews manning the med centers. Those were fun times. I met so many different people, and AP's were never a problem.

After much combat, after much crafting, and especially after much, much boredom, I decided to dedicate a characterto a medical profession.
It is one of the few character types (not assuming all crafters/combatants the same, just their general goals) I have not tried since launch.
So, I buy some wound treatment clothes and a medical droid, find some horrible stacks of organic and inorganic materials I had lying around waiting to be deleted, andpickup novice medic.
I went the the medcenter in Coronet and sat and sat and sat. I refused to to heal the tumblers and dancers (another discussion entirely). I refused to powercraft my way through the organics line. I refuse to rush through this game anymore. I want to enjoy my time and truly learn my profession. Yet, not a patient showed up. Hard to practice medicine without a patient...
Butif Allah won't go the mountain,I'll bring the mountain to Allah.
I called my droid and went to the starport. I healed the wounds of people in buff lines, the people who were zoning in, the afks, the spammers, and even those who were waiting on a shuttle. I healed every wound in that starport.
After a long days work, people were very, very nice and giving to the little medic. Some gave me thanks, others credits, a few gave me resources, fewer gave me better medical supplies (Woundpack Bs!), and one even gave me a full suit of composite. The chest piece was broken, but some good repair kits did the job for the rest.
All in all, I had a great day. It has been a long time since I've talked with people randomly in SWG. We are all off usually soloing the best we can. It was nice to have such mediocre skills and be treated so nicely by all.
There is a part of this game that I have been missing for a long, long time. I enjoy just meeting people and helping them for no reason. I enjoy making friends. I enjoy the medicine in SWG.
I would say that I really envy the doctors, combat medics, and medics in closing, but I do think I am one of them now. If I can bring this much happiness with a few Woundpack As, wait until the world sees me with Master Doctor.
Thanks for listening,
NPB

Welcome to the best profession in the game! I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
