Wonder if anyone can help.
I was in the Village today and a master doc was sitting on the floor next to Paemos with his pet cupa out. All ofa sudden a whole load of green numbers appeared above his head and his action bar (which was buffed) dropped likea stone. His mate (another master doc) then healed him and presumablygot xps. they then repeated this afew times and then the doc stored his pet, the other doc got his out, and they repeated the process the other way round.
As far as I can see they both capped very fast.
What is it they are doing that involves their pets?? I'm probably being extremely stupid here, but I can't work it out?
Any helpappreciated
Thanks

The person with the pet was spamming pet tricks nonstop, using the /tellpet command. This causes action and mind damage to the pet owner.
The person with the pet has an Action buff (no secondaries)and probably drank one or two brandies to prevent the mind from dropping while spamming the pet tricks. Thus, action drops rapidly, but mind stays full (because of the brandy). The other doctor can heal the pet owner's action bar for quick XP.
Note: This gimmick will not work if the pet owner has secondaries buffed.
Edit: Clarify what happens when the pet owner spams pet tricks.

They're not healing the pets, when they tell the pet to trick, it hits their HAM bars.
Its essentially a more efficient form of tumbling.

Oh duh, sorry... had a slight lack of brain function there... pet tricks don't even make the pet's hams change... heh...

Well that depends on the definition of "best". I don't think anything can cause you to lose action as fast as doing pet tricks. A fully action-buffed player can lose ALL his action in less than a second doing pet tricks.

I have done this and can explain what may be happening. One doc is buffing the other docs pet. After a full set of buffs the pet is stored and called again (this removes the buffs). This continues untill the Doc has capped and then they switch.

You can lose your action as fast as you want with the ent trick, but it's still a little known way to burn action... I would wager to guess it's actually pretty much the same as doing pet tricks b/c you can burn action literally as fast as you want with the ent trick. It sounds like pet tricks are the same way, carried out in the same manner, just a different command.
I haven't tried it so I cannot say that you are wrong. But you do lose more action for each pet trick than you do for each flourish. So you would have to doflourishes faster than doing pet tricks. It might still be possible. The downside to it is, of course, that you need an entertainer to do this. Anybody can own a pet that can do tricks.
