I am developing an alt that is a master doctor. My friend is quiting to play WOW (turncoat). He was my source of buffs and medical help for a large part of my career. Now that I need him, he quits. I will attempt to play his character, until the accounts closes at least, but I don't know much about playing this role. Is there a guide that anyone can reccommend so I can stop asking stupid questions. I need to know how to make and use buff packs. How and where to perform my duties. What locations can I use to buff my other friends. Do I need to be in a city?? Can I be in a residence?? Any information would be appreciated.

Making buff packs is easier said than done unless you have resources. So unless you have resources, you'd best forget about that...
You can buy buff packs from vendors in your galaxy, ask some other Master Doctors you see around and find out where they get theirs. It'll cost anywhere between 150-250k for all six stats.
You will require +25 Bio-engineered clothes with enhancement to
-Injury Treatment (+25)
-Wound Treatment (+25)
Also, a medical droid will be needed, one with the 110 medical capability rating.
On top of this you can use bivoli to enhance the buffs further, but the droid and clothes should be enough if you're low on cash.
As for where can you buff, as long as you have your droid out (be sure to get some batteries) you can buff almost anywhere. You can be in a residence, as long as you have admin to it (not sure, someone will no doubt counter that). If you're buffing for money, starports in main hubs of the galaxy will be the spot.
Any moment now someone will come in and say something I forgot...
Hope that helped.

you can be in any "player owned" structure (houses, malls, etc.) but you dont necessarily have to be "Admin" on the structure. The structure DOES however have to have its "privacy" setting to be public. This is the only way to call a droid inside a player owned structure other than being "admin" on it.

Last night I was set to buff my small group. I was in a house owned by a member of the group. I am on the admin list. The house is private. I could not call my droid. I went outside, called the droid, waited the 15 secondsthe droid came. Ithen went inside, gave the droid the "follow me" command and he followed me into the house. Everything worked as expected from there. With buff packs at 875, I was buffing for 1890 (health), could I have done better, if so how??

I was not wearing any of the clothes. If I wear more than one article of BE clothing, will I get better results that if I only wear one??

Using a total of +25 wound treat is critical (you can add up from multiple parts eg: +7 pants , +18 hat)
USE BIVOLI!!!!!! That's the difference between a 2000 buff and a 2200-2300.
