Hi guys

sorry if this is a ignorant question, but is there a way to make the abilities we now have as docs (enhancements and heals) automatically use the enhancement supplies in our inventory? It took me a long time before i noticed that when i was buffing or healing anyone, the supplies in my backpack were not going down.

I could put the meds themselves in the toolbars, but they all look the same and its not going to be very helpful if you get confused easiliy (which I do).

Have I missed a option somewhere? It feels like a bug or an issue... but i suspect it will be called a "feature".

Thanks for your time,

Grey

That's a good question. I recently did a respec to Master Doc and was wondering the same.

thats what i was thinking. Does anyone know if it is currently working as they planned or if this is something that they may fix?

Evidently you do have to put the enhancers in your toolbars. They take the place of the ability icons they are related to. I was surprised to learn this too. And, yes, it is a pain because they do all look alike. I think the ability should just search your pack for enhancers and use them if you have them.

Try making a macro that uses the same icon as the skill you wish to use does this:

/ui action toolbarPane05; (The pane where you enhancer is located)
/ui action toolbarSlot01; (the slot where your enhancer is located)
/ui action toolbarPane00; (the home pane)

You can add in a /target self if you are having a hard time using them while pvping.

I use that macrofor all the enhancers I use and then bind all the macros to my keyboard so have all the enhancers available at the press of a key.

My keyboard looks like this:

A - /bactaShot self
S - /tar self; (use bacta jab enhancer from toolbar)
D - /tar self; (use bacta toss enhancer from toolbar)
Z - (use bacta spray enhancer from toolbar)
X - (use bacta infusion enhancer from toolbar)
C - /bandage self
Num + - (use stabilizers enhancer from toolbar)
Num Enter - (useStim Dfrom toolbar)

Then I have Shift+[key] to use enhancers and heals on others, /bactaSpray doesnt need a target.

Shift+A - /bactaShot - for healing others
Shift+S - (use bacta jab enhancer from toolbar)
Shift+D - (use bacta toss enhancer from toolbar)
Shift+C - /bandage

I have 1-8 bound to select group member rather than CTRL+1-8 to make selecting people to heal easier.

Then for when I get a "thunk", meaning run out of enhancers, I have:

CTRL+S - /bactaJab
CTRL+D - /bactaToss
CTRL+Z - /bactaSpray
CTRL+X - /bactaInfusion

When I had the DoT heal line I had:

Q - /counterToxin
W - (use disinfect enhancer from toolbar)
E - /extingushFire

CTRL+W - /disinfect

For CM I have:

Insert - (use Neurotoxin Enhancer enhancer from toolbar)
Home - (use Deuterium Toss Enhancer enhancer from toolbar)
Delete - /paralyze (swap with shock depending on how much CM I have)
End - /electrolyteDrain

Shift+Insert - /neurotoxin
Shift+Home - /deuteriumToss

Since i never have seen a doctors bag, i actually think that you could place your enhancers in the doctors bag, and use the /USE command.

"Could you please repeat that? You want a what? A Buff? Yes i am a Master Doctor, but you want me to apply a buff, are you sure?" - Serf being surprised that someone wanted a buff.
"Now follow my directions: Follow me, then..... hey what are you doing stop, stop *UGLY BLASTER SOUND* dammit i told you to follow me, not to run into that room with that large turret" - Serf to eager guildmate in the warren.
"Why are you looking at me?, im not here, really im not, this rifle is just a fake, i promise" - Serf to angry Ancient Krayt Dragon.
"Muhahaha im indestructable" *BOOM* - Serf realising that his trainer TIE might not be able to take on tier 2 enemies.

Considering that this used to work Pre-CU, I'd say it's a good thing to put on the radar. The macros are useful, but ultimately a hack job (though a very nice one.) Why not fix it to pull your highest rank enhancer from the pack, just like we used to pull our highest rank stims?

And I have to say Badger, thank you for that post. I'd respec'ed out of Doc early on, and reading your post of the giant list o' fixits reminded me why I respec'ed back in last night. Patch 'em up!

Eenig Darksun, Former Ith Pistoleer and Armorsmith, now Officer "No, you can't call me ET."
Daolee the Spiky, Rodian Medic. "We puts the needle in here, and either you die, or you feel better. If you die, we use it on enemy next time!"
