Browsing through the "In Live" forum i stumbled on a post regarding changes in food stacking.

The changes to food stacking are explained via the correspondent, where the chef correspondent say and i quote "Now HAM stats will not be buffable above 20% of its base stat, which means limitations have to be put on the Ham buffing foods to ensure that they don't unbalance gameplay".

What about our buffs, as i read the post is seems to be all forms of HAM increase? exactly what is our 10% going to do, when everyone is eating foods and spices that grant 20%, and that is the maximum, a quick thinking player will think... hmmm i am still going to eat the food, so why bother looking for a Doctor for a buff when the max is 20% and i get that from my food and spice.

So what is left?

  • Healing - Yes but if not managed extremely carefull, as in DONT heal, you get agroed by everything in sight.

  • Wound Healing - Well ANY wound healing is going on outside combat and we dont get ANY xp from and it is EXTREMELY slow.

  • Buffing - 3 of 6 buffs are now with publish 17 rendered completely useless, and the remaining buffs are still somewhat usefull if it was't because they have so lousy duration.

  • Über tanks, because we can out "damage" anyone with our heals, and no taunt currently in the game can pull NPC's and Creature away from us. The currently best tank combo in the game is a TKM/MD combo, high defences and super ability to keep enemies on them. And the taunt ability is not the REASON.

"Could you please repeat that? You want a what? A Buff? Yes i am a Master Doctor, but you want me to apply a buff, are you sure?" - Serf being surprised that someone wanted a buff.
"Now follow my directions: Follow me, then..... hey what are you doing stop, stop *UGLY BLASTER SOUND* dammit i told you to follow me, not to run into that room with that large turret" - Serf to eager guildmate in the warren.
"Why are you looking at me?, im not here, really im not, this rifle is just a fake, i promise" - Serf to angry Ancient Krayt Dragon.
"Muhahaha im indestructable" *BOOM* - Serf realising that his trainer TIE might not be able to take on tier 2 enemies.

Spice, food / drink and doc buffs stack. So you can get +X to health from a spice, top that with +Y to health from a food or a drink, and then take that total health and add 10% with a doc buff.

I haven't tried it since publish 17, but this means 3600 is the cap on health no matter how you achieve it? No matter what spice, foods or buffs you use? What about the force crystal that buffed health with +2000? This is useless now? I can't wait to get home and try if I can get more than 20 % or if this is the max...

Hmm, I read the same thing the Chef Corr did but I did not read as much into it as he did.

I just logged in, eat a vercupiti and took a spice and had 4100 health.

The only thing that I have seen that has chanced is that you can not take two foods that impact the same property nor two spices. Thats all.

Doctors died with the implementation of the CU.

Killing us was not enough, they need to kick the corpse as well.
