Just had someone come in with 900+ wounds and 1000 battle fatigue. I advised him that I charge for my services, for that many wounds, a few k would be just fine, but he'd have to clear his BF first before I started.

He stood there for a while, then responded that he doesn't have all day and I should start.

I decided to give him a few options:

Clear BF, come back, and I'd charge him a few k to get all fixed up.

Keep your BF, give me 100k, and I'd be more than happy to heal him.

Sit in the med center for free, and let it heal you. Advised him with his wounds, it would take right around a day and a half.

After highlighting these options to him a couple times... he just left.

He gave me a counter proposal of just healing him, of course. I declined politely, and recommended he offer that to another doc... should he find one

People can be so polite. I was on my alt and decided to venture off to find a doc. I walk in the cantina to heal up my BF, and wouldn't you know it, a doc was there. Well I decided to try my luck and see what if they would be kind enough to heal me for some credits...... they went AFK right after I asked......

I'm more than happy to heal people, actually. Just be prepaired to show your appreciation with your pocket book

Really, all I ask is a few k for the service, after all, that's what I'm charging for now. If you'd rather not pay, that's fine pull up a bed and wait for eternity. Also, I really don't want to be healing you till server down, that's why I ask people to clear BF before I start.

Also, I do give enhancers free to all Imperials. My way of aiding the cause as it were

If someone has a lot of BF and want to be healed I ask them to follow me to a cantina and while they listen or watch an entertainer I heal their wounds. That kills two birds with one stone. They're happy, I'm happy (tip or no tip).

What bothers me just a little are the folks that say TIP 5000 rather than using /tip 5000 then run off. That happens so often I'm beginning to think it's a conspiracy :b.

I almost always heal less than 200 wounds for free. If you come to me with greater than 500 battle fatigue, you better be prepared to pay if you're not willing to have an entertainer work on your fatigue first. At master Doc, my efficiency is less than 30% at 500BF and right around 10% at 100BF. I'm not going to /healwounds you 141 times for nothing, especially not when it's on a (nearly) ten second timer!

I tried this once too. Guy had like 800 wounds and 800 BF. So I walked him to the Cantina, had him start to listen and poof, a Jedi healed his wounds in like two spurts of Force. He still had tons of BF. I felt utterly worthless as a Doctor.

I agree with Kylander.

The Doc profession is the new Imagine Designer profession. Pretty pointless these days.

Getting rid of those overly powerful Buffs was a great idea. I am no longer plagued by agressive and impatient Combat professions bombarding me with "Tells". And it`s so refeshing to walk through a city without all that crappy Spam from greedy Buff-Bot Doc`s.

But, apart from that, Doc is pretty useless. Jedi`s heal better, Bio-Engineers craft better and even Master Combat medics can revive players. What`s the point? I don`t even get XP for healing in a Med Centre. We should all go on strike!
