Currently healing is about the only thing that keeps a jedi alive, because the damage dealing ability of a Master Lightsaber or Master Jedi Powers is far below a swordsman / fencer / rifleman / pistoleer whatever. Currently a Jedi with Healer 2xxx or 4xxx can survive a BH built for pure damage dealing, but will more than likely lose to a rifleman / doc BH. So messing with the jedi healing _should_ also involve changing jedi offensive capabilities.
But I agree with Marrow, Healer 4xxx healing is far too powerful (1500 heal with a very low reuse timer and not a lot of Force cost), and needs to be moved or tuned down a litte. A Healer 4xxx jedi currently is un-killable for about 20 to 30 mins till he runs out of Force from spamming the heals. So either they need to be made un-spammable (mind cost or reuse timers would do that), or tuned down.
Other than that, I think Marrow is great as a correspondent _because_ he knows both sides and is not just ignorant towards the jedi concerns, which would lead to nothing done at all in my opinion because no common ground can be found.

On another note, I am amazed all the time how people cry "nerf" when somebody else can do something better than them instead of pushing for themselves to be raised to the same level...

And for the record I have a Jedi who is a M. Healer. I also have a Doc/BH. I am also working on a BE/Chef.

Now regarding my stance on Jedi healing, here is what I think. It is simply to easy to dable. The healing power at 4000 is to high. It needs to get moved around so that one can get some healing with low skill point cost but to get the power achieved at 4000 one would need to take up more Healer. Another way to achieve the same qual is to add mind cost to healing and increase the timer. However, if this is done then other trees in Healer should give bonus to speed and medigation to mind costs such that at Master one can still heal as they do now but a dabler would be limited from where they are now.

M. Healer is actually not all that powerful when you compair it to other Jedi prof. It is rather rare to master it, in fact. The big heal known as Total Heal is nice but the FC for it is very high. If you try spaming it a few times you find your out of force and dead quickly.

I do believe a Jedi should be better at damage healing but lack other special skills that a doc has (rez, buffs). Each prof sould have some things that they share with other prof and some things they do not.
