Thread: idea: add mind healing back to stims but only the high level ones

Ok a few of us remember waaaaaaaaaaaaay back when stims used to heal minds too.
Now it is a combat medic only ability.

My proposal is simple. Add mind healing to the Stim E and maybe the Stim D.

This way the only players that will be able to heal minds are Master medics/Combat medics and Master Doctors.

This really would benefit combat medics as well, they would retain their ability to heal minds without the stim, so they have the option of using or not using the stim.

Also add mind heal to the Highest level area stim for combat medics. this way A combat medic can also somewhat counter a combat medics posion.

Ideas, comments, Flames?

It's a nice idea, but doctors would be invincible. From what I understand, they are going to make the mind pool unattackable. If this happens, it will fix a lot of the problems we currently see.

um yeah with the combat revamp the one that was gonna take 2 months to fully implement back in December and was scrapped in march. The one that is now "planed" to happen in patch 11, seeing it takes about 1.5 months inbetween patches we are talking 6 months down the road??

We need some issues resolved long before 6 months

yes because if you are a imp or rebel medic/doctor and you take part in the GCW, people are just gonna try mind incaps anyway, so dont make it only avaiable to combat medics..

I agree that the combat revamp is too far off, but I don't think that mind healing is the answer, especially with stims. As it is now, at least combat medics take wounds to focus and willpower when they use their healing (if I remember correctly). Doctors would be invincible if they could heal their mind, and I don't think that is the answer to the current problems. Doctors already have a lot to offer in terms of PvP and PvE. The onlything this would do ismake everyone dump CM in favor of Doctor.

As a TKM/Doc if you give me a stim that heals my mind, I can solo anything in the game.


Not a good idea in my opinion.


A rifleman/doc would be pretty much invincible pve AND pvp.

Doctors shouldnt be able to heal mind, it doesnt even make any sense for a doctor to be able to.

I once brought up the idea of a stim that healed all three stats, kind of like the damage stim that is in the game currently. The difference would be that if you did not have health or action damage, then the mind part of the stil would be ineffective. Also it would not be usable on self. Kind of like the combat medic skill is.


Another limitation could be that it only healed 1/4 or 1/2 the amount of mind that was healed in action or health.


It was only an idea, not very easy to implement either, so I guess it was a littel stupid too.
