Thread: Food and Chem Factories
As doctor i need the factory to craft certain higher medications. But when i use the factory it doesn t seem to work right. I make schematics from the items in the crates i use, so they would be the same, and the same resources.
I made sure i have power and maintance. But i will always get a mail about the factory stopped with 0 made after about 5 min.
Now when i take things out of the crate it seems to work fine.
Does this happen to anyone else? and also what is the average time it takes to make like 100 or 50 stim Ds? cause its taking like an entire night for me.
Mine is bugged like that too, it won't take from multiple crates. Don't know what to tell you, some people are lucky and theirs works like that. So I guess we're limited to 24 Stim-D's at best!
A run of 100 items takes like 4 hours for me (sorry, once I posted about a time of like 9, I was way off, just guestimating since I couldn't remember).

Same bug here..
My factory can produce any of the 4 sub-components just fine (Bio, liquid...) but when I put the crates in (all serial numbers double checked) to produce the final product (Stim D) it sends me a email with that 0 items crafted crap and steals some resources as well.
I got so frustrated I re-deeded my factory.. then i got even more pissed off when i realised i don't get anything that was inside the ingredient hopper.. or any reserve power or maintenance.. now the maintenance maybe i can understand.. it's not cheap to uproot a factory.. but the power? the resources i forgot to take out? you can't have machines eating all these up!!

This happens to me too, and has been happening since beta.
It's not limited to medics, there are several weaponsmiths having this issue, and other professions as well. A forum search on "factory component bug" will turn up a lot of posts on this in the first page.
Some people have found that putting things in the order of the schematic helps. I.e. for a D stim it says:
organic fiberplast
liquid suspension chemical release
bio controllerx2
So put in the input hopper, in this order:
25 stims worth of organics
25 worth of fiberplast
crate of 25 suspensions
crate of 25 chemical releases
crate of 50 bio controllers
This works sometimes but not always, and any time it doesn't work it will pick one of the items in the schematic, destroy one prototype worth, and end the run.
This is the biggest current factory bug, devs please fix it! ![]()

Many people have not realised that they took one item out of each crate to make the final item. And they set their total at the end wrong. Not sure if this is what you guys are doing - but a factory won't run if the supply is even 1 item short. Have a read on that link and make sur eyou did everything it outlined.
I have the crate bug, but when making things the factory doesnt seem to care if there isnt enough resources to fill the schematic. If the schematic says 100 and there are resources for 50, then it will make 50.
Another bug seems to be that I cant delete schematics from my datapad.
Has anyone tried creating new schematics for the factory?
This bug has recently hit my factory as well and so I got to thinking. If the factory will still build from the subcomponent schematics, but stops working on the final medecines, maybe the schematic is getting bugged and not the factory? Has anyone tested this theory?
I am making stim B's and my current schematic/factory set up will not run due to this bug. I am going to try to create a new Stim B schematic tonight and load it into the factory. If it does run with this new schematic, then we will know whether it is the factory, or the schematic which gets bugged. I'll post my results her later.
