Thread: POLL: Buff packs craft or buy?
That said I'll continue to buy after I reach master Doc. I'm not in this to hunt resources and I find reasonably priced packs for MD's all the time.
Craft I always get better results plus I hunt for my own meat when I can.

Craft-
I don't do the buff monkey thing anymore. I ran a crate of 50 of each, identical stats. With all the trimmingd (droid, bivoli, wound clothing, etc) I can buff for 2478 for 3hrs 25mins. I only buff Guild members, friends, and hunting partners. Mine would be better, but I can't use the crafting apron and don't have enough slots in wookiee clothing to add up 20 +1 tapes without some of them cancelling others out.
I expect this batch to last way long enough for me to gather the resources to do another run. In fact, I already have all I need EXCEPT for herbivore, and all I really need do is ask my guild and they'd get me the 16k it would take for a factory run of 1000 Adv CRDM.
I take pride in my work. I make better than average buffs (if my success rate on overbuffing is any indication my power/duration is better than most). I wouldn't feel right using someone else's buffs, especially since I like being a support/crafter toon. It's who I am, it's what I do.
I HAVE bought though, back in the day when I had problems with resources. Just once, and a crate of 5 of each, so I understand those that do.
I make and sell 900 power packs on Bria (on occassion usually 870 power) for 100k a set.
I do that with 10xp points, so its quite possible.
Craft
but in a pinch I will not hesitate to buy. I love to craft my own. I buff myself and a few friends and the occasional guildmate. Other than that, I HATE BUFFING PEOPLE.

I don't buff for cash anymore, but I do sell some buffpacks.
