Hi, I have a bit of a problem and I'm wondering what exactly I did wrong. I recently mastered the doctor profession and decided to make my first set of buff packs... I gathered the best resources I could, put together what I thought were very good advanced components and was all set to make my first buff packs... The problem lies in that I don't seem to be able to make anything better than 1600 enhance 1.5hr buff packs even while using up all my experimentation points... HELP!!! I feel like I just wasted ALOT of credits and have worthless advanced components... thanks...

Do you apply your buffs after taking bivoli (a food which increases your buff's power, +25 is max) and wearing BE +25 injury / wound treatement clothing ?
Thats the only thing I can think of that is giving such a low amount unless the resources you used to make your buffs including the sub components are no that great ?

sorry... I forgot to list exactly what I'm working with above...
ABEC - power 21
charges 13
ASDS - power 63
ACRDM - power 60
Avian - OQ 531 PE 786
Reactive Gas - OQ 979
DR 36
Could it be from the DR on the reactive gas being so low? If anyone has any insights... please let me know...

Tigra,
I made the same mistake when I first acheived master doc. When I realized the problem I was greatly frustrated, but appreciated the design of the game more because of it. Yes, the resources you gathered are not even close to the best. Gathering resources to make enhance packs takes months if you want them to be the quality of 900+. First of all, if you don't have patience then commit to buying good buffs and let those with patience spend the time finding the best resources. For example, class IV liquid petro spawned a couple weeks ago and stayed for 7-8 days and had OQ and PE of 900+. The odds of it spawning that good for at least 2-3 months is slim to none. A month and a half ago the Lokian wild wheat was good. Two months ago I got my hands on some 900+ Tat fiberplast.
Here is my suggestion to you, splurge and get good harvestors. Keep a lookout for the good stuff. Check www.swgcraft.com daily for good spawns. When something worthwhile spawns then get as much of it as you can. In the meantime buy your buffs from a merchant that has been in business for awhile and makes better buffs than you can make. Dont waste the kick-arse Avian you might have just gathered on semi-decent buffs. Be patient.
Personally, I like things this way. It balances the market of doc's that give good buffs, and weeds out the jedi-grinders. Not that there is anything wrong with grinding for your jedi, but a full-time doc should be rewarded for his experience and patience. Hope this helped.

I have been a Doc for quite a few months now and I *almost* have enough resources to make my own buff packs now (granted I've been dragging my feet). All your resources stats must be over 900 and even one bad stat can cripple your buff packs.

ABEC - power 21 <- You should experiment charges instead. The Abec power rating doesnt do much
charges 13
ASDS - power 63 <- thats decent, not great but decent
ACRDM - power 60 <- pretty good for a crdm
Avian - OQ 531 PE 786 <- in the world of buff making, that sucks. the OQ needs to be in the 900's, and the DR rating is very important too
Reactive Gas - OQ 979
DR 36 <- keep an eye out for reactive gass with similar OQ and better DR
Could it be from the DR on the reactive gas being so low? If anyone has any insights... please let me know...

that avian is no good
if you used the same subcomponents, but better meat, your buffs would come out MUCH better

The OQ on your avian meat and the DR on your reactive gas are both culprits. DR effects duration of buffs and a 36 is REALLY bad
Try to find some avian with at least 700 for the OQ - the DR you had on your avian was good. As for gas, throw that stuff out. Just because the OQ is high does not make it good. DR is VERY important here.
